Hi "Crimson", and "DaVinci"......Thank you both for your comments.......I appreciate it very much. I never tried drawing anything like this before.....I just felt like trying something different and comical. I guess this is supposed to be a caricature type of draw......I hope I'll be able to finish it. Lol!! :D

Hi "Lori"......Thank you very much for your comment......I appreciate it. I never heard of Botero before either, but I was browsing thru artwork at art.com, and I saw the "ref pic that I used for this draw......it made me laugh.....I thought it was a caricature type of art, so I wanted to see if I could draw like that. I did just now google Botero, and I really had to laugh at his gallery of artwork.....all of his pictures are so weird and funny......I think they're comical.....not scary. I've seen a lot scarier pics right here at 2draw, than what I saw in Botero's gallery. I don't know what the red flag means.....but I'm glad it's there.....I wouldn't want to draw what is hiding under that flag.....hahahaha!!! I think his artwork is really comical.....I'm thinking about doing another of his draws...."lol"! Thanks again for commenting "Lori"......I really appreciate your comments and opinions. :)

well I saw some dog lookin' like it was about to do the character he painted... and I was all "like"... wtf? so I came right back to 2draw lol...

my angel is fully clothed now, just revamped him

Hi "Lori......I just now checked out your angel......he looks very content, now that he is fully clothed...."lol"! I'm not gonna put clothes on this guy......he's happy with his flag....haha! This is the first draw I ever did showing a partially nude body. It seems that most everyone here draws nudes, but me......so I figure I should "go with the flow"....and do likewise.."LOL"!! I won't draw anything that shows genitalia though.....I'm not comfortable with that. I'll leave those kinds of draws up to "Kloxboy" and "Axil"....haha!! Anyway.....there's nothing "indecent" about my "Botero" draw.....I think he's a nudie cutie....."LOL"!!! By the way......I think your angel really does resemble John Travolta....cute draw!! :)

It is supposed to be a self portrait of "Botero", but I need to do a little more work on his facial features to make him look more like Botero. I had fun doin' this draw.....I never did one like this before....."LOL"!! :)

I cant say im that keen...it looks like you draw one half of his body copied it then flipped it over to make it look cemetrical.Which is fine if your drawing a gingerbreadman...but not so much in this case.

Well, flubadub.....this draw isn't supposed to be a realistic looking one......it's more of a satire, cartoonish, caricature type of draw.......it's ok if it looks like a gingerbread type draw....lol! I used the ref pic that Botero drew, and it looks very much like the original pic, except for his facial features.....I did a half ass job on that....haha!! I appreciate your criticism though......I know if you were to do this same draw....it would look perfect.....I'm not an artist....I'm still learning, and I have a lot of learning to do.....haha! :P Hi "BMW"......Thanks for commenting.....you want to know what the red flag means.....well.....I think you'll have to ask the original artist (Botero) why he put the flag there....but I'm glad it's there.....because I wouldn't want to draw what's hiding under that flag.....HaHa!!!! :D
