im kind of lost as to what to do. i have one drawing that isnt loading up to the draw board. its saved, but when i click on it to work on it, it loads a blank canvas. it does do that for any of my other drawings that im working on it. i thought it was something wrong with java but when i was able to load another drawing ive been working on...i knew it was something else wrong. can you please retrieve my drawing back for me : http://2draw.net/view/109684/
thank you for your time

Have your restarted your computer? I'm sure you have, but it is always the first question help desks ask when you call them with a computer problem. Chibi never misbehaved with me, so I don't have reliable tips. One thing that comes to mind is you clearing your cookies and internet history. At least I know that this will not do any harm.

Come to think of it, I have had other applets loading blank in the past, but that usually was Shi Painter, I no likez Shi. And sometimes Lascaux, but that is just ones, the next time it loads like a charm.

Hope someone else can help you fix this. Would be a shame if you wouldn't be able to finish that drawing!

I've just discovered that I'm having the same problem with my draw http://2draw.net/view/109348/
The other draws I have waiting unfinished are fine. The blank canvas I'm showing was drawn in chibi as well. The problem I have with this fact is that this drawing is being used in a book!!!!!!! I've GOT to have access to it for some edits!! Today is the first time I've gone back to reopen it since I posted it here to view the other day. Right now I'm ok, deep breathing, keeping calm.....

chibipaint is an experimental drawing application not designed by 2draw (and the creators haven't updated it since January 2008). if it crashes, there's nothing we can do about it. use at your own risk.

I guess I could remove access to it completely? Or add more warnings?

PLEASE don't remove it!! I vote for more warnings...I will draw at my own risk =)

Elly, is there a way for you to finish this drawing in another drawing program? Local on your pc? If not, maybe you can ask Marcello to upload it in Lascaux. If you ask him nicely, I'm sure he will. Bad thing is that you will have lost your layers.

What would we do without chibi. ^_^
(I would go insane without my smoothing tool!)

All is well for the draw I cant open. It's been accepted for the book! Actually, both draws I submitted were accepted for the same book! I can't wait to see what they do with them! I'll be sure to use another program to draw in when I'm SURE I don't want to lose it! I wish they'd hurry up and update chibi!!

You can screenprint what you have and finish it off in photoshop..OR if Gingko is still working ..even though nobody is there.. you could upload it and finish it in Chibi there

I'm actually not sure how to screenprint on my mac and I don't have photoshop (boo =( Ginkgo is still there but I'm not registered there anymore, nor will I ever reregister! It's all ok though as the book is on it's way to print and publish....or is that publish and print o_0 Thanks, Dave and enjoy for your advices!!

you can right click on the image on 2draw and save it...

if you're inside chibi, use command + shift + 4, click and drag a rectangle, and it'll save to your desktop.

I don't have a "right click" on my mac (still getting used to that) but I can easily click and drag most images. Now the command+shift+4 inside chibi sounds like something I need to know!!! Thanks dude! =)

you can use control+click to right click. or if you have a laptop, you can tap with two fingers to right click, or you could just buy a real mouse with actual buttons.
