How funny.. I just took some photos of some old daguerreotypes and ambrotypes my mother in law got from her grandmother,all the pics are from that era and look like this.. I'll be posting them on DA shortly and I'll put a link...very cool

I'd love to see those photos, dave! post away!! Maybe one of these days I'll open an account at DA...I just recently signed up on facebook and it took a good chunk of time to upload all my draws and cake photos there....so I likely won't do the DA thing for a while yet...anyway, thanks y'all!

I'm with everybody else on this. First thing I thought was, that is going to be wonderful.

To be more honest I really thought "Wauw, fantastisch, dat wordt een hele mooie!" But I figured you guys couldn't understand that.

This is nice.....I like the way the bottom part of the pic makes them look transparent.....it gives them a "ghostly" look. I hope you leave it looking transparent. :)

Wow dave! Those are fantastic!! I want to take some time and really look at those in detail! I love the first one of the page of the two little kids...how funny are those clothes! Love the little bloomers =D And those frames they're all in are to die for!! Dont see things like that anymore! Thanks for sharing!!
firecracker, I thought about the transparent thing...maybe...maybe not, we'll see where my mood is when I get to that point...it'll be a surprise I guess...hee

very very very nice. I especially like the carpet...great job. I have many old photos like this from my parents. I should try to do one someday. Dave, good idea to catalog them at flicker or somewhere similar! I think maybe I should do that one of these days.

I knew this would come out awesome...I did not know it was carpet until I read the comments I thought it was plywood because of the grain pattern :)

Yep, it's carpet...old, flat, faded, worn down carpet....wonder what color it was?
