Love the whole series of these. There is so much detail and beautiful coloring in them. This one is really nice, love how he is carring her off on his shoulders.

Here is the story for this picture: Having married Katherina, Petruchio removes her from the scene without partaking of the wedding breakfast. He says: "I will be master of what is mine own - she is my goods, my chattels, she is my house, my household stuff, my field, my barn, my horse, my ox, my ass, my any thing." "Wow"....I feel sorry for Katherina.....a sad story....:(
