She used to work in a diner
Never saw a woman look finer
I used to order just to watch her float across the floor
She grew up in a small town
Never put her roots down
Daddy always kept movin’, so she did too.

Somewhere on a desert highway
She rides a harley-davidson
Her long blonde hair flyin’ in the wind
She’s been runnin’ half her life
The chrome and steel she rides
Collidin’ with the very air she breathes
The air she breathes.

You know it ain’t easy
You got to hold on
She was an unknown legend in her time
Now she’s dressin’ two kids
Lookin’ for a magic kiss
She gets the far-away look in her eyes.

Somewhere on a desert highway
She rides a harley-davidson
Her long blonde hair flyin’ in the wind
She’s been runnin’ half her life
The chrome and steel she rides
Collidin’ with the very air she breathes
The air she breathes.

cianteed2 (edited May 24, 2006)
i thought it was a wonky converse from the thumbnail too, but no!
my friend has a live incubus dvd at the red rocks, such a beautiful place!
DeadlyBlondeArcher (edited May 24, 2006)
I went there once when I was 13.
(I'm pretty sure that's where it was... unless there are two places like this in Colorado)

That would scare the you know what out of me if I had a nightmare like that as an adult... much less a child. That is a truly frightening image... It's terrifying, and somehow you managed to depict just how awful that felt. (It's in those eyes) Horrible picture, great job. :)
Deino (May 16, 2006)
Thanks for the comments :)
DarkCloak (May 17, 2006)
Very cool. Though she's kind of creepy, I feel a bit sorry for her. :(
Deino (May 17, 2006)
She is about to disapear :(
Thanks Dark Cloack :)

Contest Week 13: Aliens!
Kloxboy (edited May 14, 2006)
Contest Week 13: Aliens! This week your goal is to illustrate an alien. What do you think beings from outter space would look like? Use your imagination and try to be as original as possible. Please do not draw E.T. or the alien form the movie "Aliens", or any other popular alien characters. It's important you come up with your own ideas, as well, it's more fun that way. :) Contest "Week 13" will be open for entries as of 5/07 9:00pm PST to 5/13 11:59 PST. [url:http://cellosoft.c...

I found some very good refs for the male figure.
I feel like studying them.
This one is from a Demidov Vladimir,

I found it. I knew I had this book somewhere around here.
hideyourface (edited May 9, 2006)
loomis is great. His books used to be online. Apparently not now though.
solve (May 9, 2006)
Theres a Andrew Loomis book on "human anatomy for artists online" website.

Simple yet interesting pose. The subject has a good build too. For the lack of details in area this shows a lot. I think you did best on the legs and torso.
SYTHE (May 12, 2006)
This is an awsome quick sketch. You have a superb anatomical understanding, great pic.
