Very nice finished product mizz Cindy. She's a sexy beauty.
emmamommalag (Apr 18, 2004)
I think you got the coloring just right. And the hair turned out great, too.
rainstar (Apr 21, 2004)
wow! this is so amazing! I love how realistic the hair looks! I'm jealous...I'm still a beginner!

my go! I really don't want to go for the realistic approach because it's just no fun for me. I'd rather look at the original pic rather than my crappy version of it. So I decided to stick with impressionism. It's fun and I get to add funky colors!!ps. This is Hyde. DUR but I need to work on it a lot more so it can resemeble him a lil more.
Roeblin (Nov 4, 2006)
Thats amazing! I love the colors and his expression. And I love the textures. Very cool, expecially for something done on the computer! AMAZING! <3

Ah, I love Hyde. You did a great job "capturing"(is that the right word, I don't know) his smexy aura.

muckluck (Apr 18, 2004)
It would be funny if it was a "scribble" of a cat on a house with smoke coming out of the chimney that looks like a "curl". Anywho, I like it, kinda gives me the idea of a good/bad side ^_^ |

Turtle Bay
DeadlyBlondeArcher (Apr 17, 2004)
It's beautiful... I love the color you use for the water. There is a Turtle Bay down in southeast Texas where I grew up, but... It is brown and muddy and gross! lol
davincipoppalag (Apr 17, 2004)
Ive seen pictures of Turtle Bay and the colors are about right.. I like it.
xwindflyer (Apr 18, 2004)
looks like that palm tree could use some Viagra. (sry the devil made me say it).
Pantera (Apr 18, 2004)

LovelyLori (Apr 18, 2004)
ya, I was actually seeing bright green spots for a while once this was done... not nice! lol
staci (Apr 18, 2004)
wow lor..good job..the shadows on the flower make itlook realistic and the bird as always ...i just wish the bg had more something....gradient color..a horizon? dunno
LovelyLori (edited Aug 4, 2004)
ya me too, kinda... all of these bird books we have, the backgrounds are very unfocused, most of them anyway... of course, they want to focus mainly on the birds... but... doesn't make life easy for copycats such as myself... hehe
RavioloiTheDancingClown (Apr 18, 2004)
i was dissapointedd when i saw it was a bird and not a...... ..hummer |

furyofroy (Apr 18, 2004)
That was called "moderating", Axil. It's my job. I could have easily just deleted this, but I chose to leave a warning instead. If everyone were to ignore my warnings, and continue to break the rules, a lot of pictures would get deleted. It's not wise to ignore moderators.
Axil62 (Apr 18, 2004)
Eat shit fuzzbutt.
DeadlyBlondeArcher (edited Apr 18, 2004)
You mean the artist doesn't have the artistic license to put a relatively small subject on a larger canvas? I mean, what if that is part of the point of the drawing? Or you just happen to like it that way... I don't remember seeing anything in the rules about moderators choosing your canvas sizes? Maybe I missed that section... Oh, and I don't see that as *empty* space... It's wide open pink space. I like pink and I like wide open spaces. I wouldn't want my arrowhead cramped into a small space. ;)
xwindflyer (Apr 19, 2004)
Let's see, hmm I used 120.9kb out of an allowed 500kb of space. Does this mean I have to use all 500 to be correct? |

....like a rainbow in the dark...
cmb (Apr 18, 2004)
this is great- I would like to see you do a take off of a dali....I touched up a couple of places that I thought were a little too out of focus, but I didn't want to *sharpen* it too much as I like my clouds soft and fuzzy looking. I didn't make the cloud any wispier as it is a thunderhead (used a ref pic for the cloud) and it does look that thick and heavy. Also brightened the horizon a bit. I like it better now.
Knockoff (Apr 18, 2004)
I love this O_O. Its soo cool. The color of the cloud is awesome. I love the rainbow. Plus I have seen a few nights/evenings like this by my house. more/less the shape of them/.Excelent job, DBA!
Aubrey (Apr 20, 2004)
The way you bowed the clouds makes them seem really heavy and close almost like 3D effect when you just focus on them and let your eyes see the rest of the picture through perspective. It's great DB. |

Kawailani (Apr 17, 2004)

davincipoppalag (Apr 17, 2004)
I like this..it needs more sharpness, but I like your highlights and shadows
xwindflyer (Apr 17, 2004)
It's been a long time since i've been "mooned"... (sorry, just had to do it.) good job on the moon.
