hope you dont mind a little constructive criticism... *ahem* ok. well, you should try to improve your understanding of the mucsular and bone structure and proportions of the face to better position the facial features, because this face looks rather alien. mostly due to the eyes. The inner eye looks unnatural and should never have black outlines in it even when drawing in an anime style. Showing an understanding of these things in your work is more impressive than being able to draw a clean line.

Well, actually, mikhail... I believe that the proportions demonstrated here are part of vigilante's style. Even though the construction of the face does appear alien to our sensibilities, that may be just what vigilante intended. I actually can see nothing wrong with the start of this picture, other than the fringe on the forehead (don't make the same mistake I did in the past, and don't draw hair like banannas :D that's what a friend of mine told me hair in that style looks like XD). Really, one should only comment on disproportion and inequality in the features of a drawing. This drawing seems pretty proportional (and therefore asthetically pleasing) to me, so it's only a matter of personal taste that's in question.Whee, ah yuz beeg wurds! lol.

This is wayyy creepy. And I love it.The details of the lineart and just the way this character is drawn really makes this picture cool :D I just... I really like this so far :) Make sure you don't draw the bottoms of the pectoral muscles too close to the collarbone, and try to keep the size of the torso in keeping with the size of the arms and other extremities. I must say that I absolutely love the face and ears, and can't wait to see the finished result :)Safety save.
Folds don't make much sense. Had a lot of troubles with things. And I decided, to just be lazy. I'm not gonna make much changes to the picture atm. I'm just gonna quick color it. .__.;; Finished with it.
Solid coloring. 'cause I'm lazy. Really bad bg, because I just can't do them. Well, this is actually my first attempt at a bg. He's some, Space Elf?

Hated Service Pack 2 as well and didn't have it for a long time but I'm used to it now. Thank God my tablet was accepted by my PC, mouse work is so hard. I like the use of just black, white and grey. It reminds me of the 60's pop posters you'd see. Or art used promoting rock bands. |

Pretty cool, but I see what the problem is with the dress... It should be more voluminous on the bottom, with more of a trend in the billows of the fabric to the right of the picture, since the wind is blowing in that direction. You could also work on the angle at which the person in the picture is viewed, to make it more dynamic and interesting... Also, there should be more detail in the sky and to the stalks of the high grass below...You know, this kind of reminds me of those scenes from gladiator where Maximus is all floain' around and shit :D

This is a good profile, except for whatever the heck wboyer said.also, the forehead stops at one of her bangs there should be more of it on the other side. Stop puting yerself down when you draw something, their good, seriosly.

Neatoh :D I like the coloring scheme and style of painting here :D I only have a few suggestions... First off, the white lines of the orbital bones are kind of off... The highlighting of the viewer's left one must be moved farther left, and should have an accompanying shadow to emphasize the muscle mass that's attached in that region. Another issue I have is with the length of the face relative to the nose. If you were to move the highlight that I assume is at the jawbone down father, this proportion would be fixed.Also, make sure you remember facial anatomy in your highlighting and shading, such as the muscles attached to the jaw, and the convex surface around the mouth created by the ring of muscles there. I don't know any of the proper names for these things, but... Bear with me :) This is a really cool picture, so I hope you keep it up :) |
