I like the dodge and burn tools, and I think my coloring is nice. I just can't seem to get the shape of faces right.

I think I'd have to agree with Kenshin and pendragon. Dodge and Burn tools can be kinda useful for some things, if used properly. But I don't think skin tones is one of those things. In my honest opinion, it just gives skin an overall unnatural, burned, and disordered appearance.

wow, been a while. posted it on advanced for the room.had a craving to do an oekaki, and i wanted to try out softer colours and detailed backgrounds. not much else to say, really....except that i love how the skin tone came out. i was trying for an oil painting effect, even though i'm pretty far from it. i really like this, so please don't point out every mistake i made. i know that the lips look a bit weird, and maybe the anatomy is a bit off, and the hair looks sorta flat. i'm proud of this, so i'm not planning on revising it anymore.

God damn this is beautiful. I love the style of the anatomy, and the outfit design so very much. I also really like the shading on her stomach/waist area. Great picture!ha what a dumbass spelling malfunction. *faceplant*

as much as I like Lascaux, it doesnt have the same paint quality as Shi-painter. It's a picky process thing, thats all ;| but thanks for the explanations. I thought I was going looney when I was the only one that seemed to notice.And I agree with the background. I should have but was about to pass out and wanted to sleep :/ I'll keep that in mind next time, I see it now >.>

TRIP, you're awesome dude.Except I've had problems with saving JPEG in Photoshop CS. Even at max quality, they turn out looking horrible. Meh. Either way, great draw. Maybe the BG could've been a darker shade of greyish stuff? I dunno. Looks great anyway.

I thought I commented on this. OOPS Sorry. I like this, The only thing I don't quite agree with is the hands. know they are close to the screen and all, and so out of focus, but still they seem like they blend to much and they should be more distinguished. If I used the right word. Over all I like the piece though. :} I dig your work trip. :} |

*sigh*.....I said if he's looking to impress, then you might want to consider some of those things. And I didn't B.S. what I said either. They actually teach you that kinda thing in college art. I was just sharing. Comments aren't just supposed to be patting each other on the back. It's also his decision whether to take it or leave it.

I never put any thought into what I draw. I just let It flow.I wouldn't call this abstract. I'd say It's more cartoony. And just because you don't know what It is dosen't mean I don't know. Just feel the flow of the color. Hate It Like It It's all the same to me. I draw because I love to draw, and I had fun drawing this.

Finally got my Wacom Graphire3! W00T!Yeah... i stopped drawing though because i'm noticing this weird + annoying delay problem. Whenever i touch the pen to the tablet surface to start a line, the cursor just stays in the same spot for a second even when i move the pen... Help please.

Have you tried udjusting the pen sensitivety? That could be it. :}

Hmmm... i can't find that anywhere. Though i don't think it's that, because it seems like the pen just stops responding when i put it down. You know like when your computer sometimes spazzes out and your moving the mouse but it responds only like a few seconds later and jumps straight to another point on the screen? Well, that's how this is right now.

u either have a memory problem or you are using a defective item. although you should try using your tablet in another program before deciding totally. |

Just working on the same thing from Staci's picture.. hopefully get me outta block.. Im hatting not being able to draw anything right now.. reference is the same too, and thanks Staci for letting me try this one. Ive had fun on it.. tho it is frustrating sometimes.... I have no idea how to go about the hair.. but i gotta start sometime :)
