this one is great--you have lots of depth with your colors without it being overly highlighted.i like the differnet tones you've used on the face. the hair really pop out too.

yeah, i have alot of trouble with noses, if you look at the 1st version the nose was a lot smaller, but still doesnt look right............ i just need alot more practice |

Nice colours but we can only guess what is the sky and what is the sea. :SYou should try making them more distinctable next time. Ps : Is this grey thingy a fish ? Edit : Oops, sorry I didn't understood you were new here... :S Welcome to 2draw ! ^^;; I hope you're gonna get used to these applets.

i like this..the towel kinda looks airborne, but the sea is pretty and the plane is a nice touch.

thanks for the kind words. lol i was trying to make the towel look like it was going to blow away but kept thinking it looked like a airmattress instead. i guess i'll leave the towel alone now lol. |

lots of work left...cant seem to get her face in...maybe shes too small? maybe im just no good? ah well perserverence comands results! ok so im happy witht he wings and over all i like her, but the face thing is driving me nuts. i would appreciate any advice on how to improve her. i would like to se her perfect lol. |

haha. scarey? oh my. any suggestions on how to shade? i dont really know how...HAHA. okay, if she wasnt scary before...she is now. i tried some shading, and now she just looks bruised, lol. umm...guess its >>back to the drawing board<< *hehe* im gonna practice some light/dark stuff *sigh*

Okay, Dix, it's not _that_ scary. :) lol. It's really great for a beginning. With every piece you do, you'll learn and evolve. On this one, I think your choice of colors is really good, even in the skin tones. For the shading on a face, try to remember to highlight the plains and darken the receding places for shadows. Blend it with the rest of the face. And for shading in your backgrounds and with objects, to get perspective remember that colors are less vibrant the farther away they are, and things are less defined in general. Now practice some more! And if u have a tablet, USE IT! You've got talent! Love ya Dixie. :) |

I was temporarily diverted from my biology homework cause I saw the really awesome lighting in the photo of the Dictyostelium discoideum slime mold slug. For something extremely disgusting, it sure looked r0x0r.

Marcello, mazi, I give you this.He's done five guitar pictures in a row. That's not a big deal. And it's not spam, either. (dates, time, etc). Give him a break, it's too early to be saying anything of that worth. He hasn't just drawn guitars...

Marcello, mazi this was a series i was working on ...of course I will do other stuff i am not going to just draw giutars, yes different angles would have made it easier for you guys to look at. repetitive maybe but these drawing are what I love doingthere are alot of other people on here who do repetitive drawings and i guess cause there popular, its ok... but this me and what I love... isn't that what an artist does? thanks for your imput.
