Lately I've been really into impressionism. I've made a lame attempt to try and imitate the artwork of the impressionist painters. This is just practice tho :O hence on the beginner board! I think it might be easier with oil paints and a canvas, but.. I don't have any in supply with me at the moment. I may try that soon though. |

This is a nice composition here. Clipping off parts by letting them run off the edges makes a good use of the picture plane and gives a sense that there's more there we're not seeing. Try to play with the hand a little, maybe by using your own hand and a mirror to get a more natural pose. |
