The mill that Tom works at is closing down. We just found out yesterday morning.
It's very likely that we'll lose our home. The winds of change are blowin across the land...

I really hope for the best for your situation..It's very hard I know...No jobs, no money...I hope you guys make it through and get to keep your house...maybe he'll find a job...I'll be thinking of you...
marcello (Oct 24, 2009)
what kind of mill? why did it close?
firecracker (Oct 24, 2009)
I believe in the power of "prayer".....so keep praying...."God" will see you thru this....
Miss_DJ (Oct 24, 2009)
It's called International Paper. It closed because the company just isnt' selling as much corrugated paper as it needs to in order to justify staying open. They are also closing 2 other mills in other states. Tom is a Union machinist for that company. He's been a machinist for 30 years, and been at this mill for 10 years. If it's possible to get a job at a mill nearby, then we can save our home. But, if not, we'll have to move to wherever he can get a job. Since our home is (now) worth $185,000, and we owe $15000 MORE than that, we can't sell it....so it will go into foreclosure....So, who knows what the future holds. But, I have faith it will be ok. I've always landed on my feet in life. I expect change...but who knows, maybe for the better in the long run. You never know.

He's inspired me for a long time, and I needed to be inspired, so I drew him. I hope you enjoy it, no matter where you fall on the political spectrum in life.

Regarding the post by axil quoting Dr. David Kaiser...Its hard to take serious an article that was not written by the man it was attributed to http://www.snopes.com/politics/soapbox/proportions.asp

If i didn't know your intentions...i'd say it's an ingenious way to meet women.I'd say embrace the gayness and go with a pink pastel shirt and your jesus sandals...otherwise your gonna get all these women wanting a piece of the action.
firecracker (Oct 9, 2009)
Why would you want to go to a cake baking class???? That sounds soooooo boring....."lol"!! You could just go to a grocery store and buy a Betty Crocker cake mix, and make your own cake....haha! :P
Axil62 (Oct 9, 2009)
As usual, you haven't got the slightest idea what going on, firecracker. It's not a cake baking class. Pay attention.

I got a question for ya... How come in Lascaux, you can be happily doodling along, and using the back arrow to delete things that you may want to... but after a fashion, it won't let you delete back further than a certain number of steps you took? Do you reach a delete maximum or something? I don't get it.

The moth from Silence of the Lambs was a Death's Head moth..named so because of the markings on the back of it's head that resembles a skull...
http://neatorama.cachefly.net/images/2007-10/deaths-head-hawkmoth.jpg
The only thing to make this picture complete is if she were running around in someone elses skin with her weiner tucked in spreading a colorful cloth out behind her as if she were a moth herself...
It puts the lotion on da skin...
firecracker (Oct 7, 2009)
"Whew"! That death's head moth is really quite spectacular looking......that really does look like a skull on the back of it's head.....very "creepy".....I guess I'll have to watch that movie all over again, so I can see exactly what that moth looked like.
Flubbles (Oct 7, 2009)
