I've had a reburst of motivation to learn how to draw a bit better using the ol' painting tools. I did a musketeer a while ago, but it was rubbish. I've kinda used Derek Yu's latest painting walkthrough to help me work out stuff about composition and building up a picture using brushes rather than random pixel work. Hope it's worthy of the Intermediate board. :P

My pen nib was getting worn down, so I just now carved and sanded a new nib out of a wood kitchen match stick and it works great! The wood has a nice drag feel on the tablet. Very nice! Smooth. :)

Well, another thing to do is to tape a piece of paper to your tablet, although I prefer the smooth surface myself (plus it doesn't wear the nib as quickly).

it just pulls out...ypou can stick it right back in if you wanna. make a nib out of a toothpick or a kitchen match...go ahead...give it whirl!

i tried that :s..its worse than just the pen...pen, paper and screen is worse to keep track of lol ah well..i'll live..
