My pen nib was getting worn down, so I just now carved and sanded a new nib out of a wood kitchen match stick and it works great! The wood has a nice drag feel on the tablet. Very nice! Smooth. :)

Works great. I mean, if the nibs are plastic, then no conductivity is needed, so hey, why not wood? :)

See the wallflower freaks and the jelly faced women sneeze.

My tablet came with like 10 nibs... I still haven't gone through one.

I got the intuos line, it's more 'pro,' I suppose, and comes with a lifetime warranty, so even if I ran out they'd probably send new ones for free.

I did somethin with my Aiptek like that. My first one wore out..I broke a tooth from an old comb..worked fine...but then I found out you can get just the stylus with a couple nibs for about 10 bucks. 'Cello you're supposed to draw with the other end....

i sooo cant get used to drawing with tablet i somehow find it really hard to draw with something pen shaped and look at the screen at the same time...(im fine with mouse lol) odd huh?...maybe i'll get used to it in time..
Axil62 (Jul 14, 2006)
I remember feeling the same way. I just kept using it. Now it's become better than a mouse. It feel fairly natural, cept for the slipperyness, which this wood nib pretty much corrected. :)
Rosemary (Jul 14, 2006)
hey you're making me feel like pulling the nib off now! i shouldnt do that...i think..
marcello (Jul 14, 2006)
Well, another thing to do is to tape a piece of paper to your tablet, although I prefer the smooth surface myself (plus it doesn't wear the nib as quickly).
Axil62 (Jul 14, 2006)
it just pulls out...ypou can stick it right back in if you wanna. make a nib out of a toothpick or a kitchen match...go ahead...give it whirl!
Rosemary (edited Jul 14, 2006)
i tried that :s..its worse than just the pen...pen, paper and screen is worse to keep track of lol ah well..i'll live..

and i may just try that dan :)*wanders off before this drawing's message count turns into a forum post*
