I hope my school puts on WW and the Chocolate Factory for a play next year... I act in all my plays,
but I'm pretty much guaranteed the part of Willy Wonka if we do it!
And I do a good impression of the Depp version... : D

Empowered by egotism, here comes the great composer of hypocrisy and presumptions. Unfounded declarations and weak convictions, revealed is your cowardice and nefarious nature.

When I keep looking at it, I keep seeing different things. It looks like I'm looking up somebody's nose, or it's some weird kind of animal bone.

solve (Jun 2, 2007)
Went through a couple of ideas. Then I thought "oh hay, practice a portraits since you are going to be drawing Lori later". So I did this as a quick practice. The overall angle of the face is off. I am still training myself to draw what I am looking at rather, adding or making features up.

Ref is: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v407/marcusa/9e9c8362-e167-11db-a010-7bae0c6e557.jpg

I dont plan on making any revisions to this. BUT Any critiques, or mistakes you notice and want to comment on, are very welcome. Helps my brain thingy learn.

HunterKiller_ (Jun 2, 2007)
Yeah, the angle is pretty off, there still is a strong resemblance, which is good.

Its a suspended bridge over to a mountain/hill with steam coming out of the middle. In the canyon there are villagers in boats with lights. I just love how your draws always makes my brain work. :D
davincipoppalag (Jun 2, 2007)
This is the rope bridge leading to the plasma volcano on Roycania...the 15th planet in the Glovanian system...I'm surprised you didnt recognize it Joyce~

Doh (in a Homer Simpson voice)
Stupid me!
Sweetcell (Jun 5, 2007)
I see a bridge leading to a throne. In the very center (right below the spurt of energy) there's a figure that looks seated, his hands resting on his legs, very casual but with a dominating attitude. That whole thing is his throne (like he's the King of some demonic underworld) and those are souls or the last energies of people being sucked in (not out) directly into his throne.

Man, now I want to see a story about this. Maybe the picture we collabed on could be a part of this, the hero got past that Harpie I drew just to get here and battle with the boss. :)

...you will never know...

Well, this is something to get me back in the groove of drawing. I need more ideas =/. Most of the time was spent on the lineart and multitasking. ^^"
C&C welcome! <3

a fine job MB, keep drawing pls. :)
Childlike_Vampire (Jun 2, 2007)
Really like this one a lot, especially the hair of course. Just wish her head wasn't cut off, but the leg thing doesn't bother me...seems like she should be in the middle of a circle, maybe made out of a celtic knot or somehting...well, great drawing!
Sweetcell (Jun 2, 2007)
I thought she was in water? Some swirlies round her thighs would show that. I love the hair too, and the hands, well done.
When I have no idea what to draw, I thank Marcello for the Idea Box.
Mocha_Bean (edited Jun 2, 2007)
Thanks Lori!! I'm gonna try to keep drawing ^^;. I've had no inspiration lately.

If I could draw Celtic knots, I would, lol. Thanks Childlike_Vampire!

And I was thinking I should have had her in water, lol. Thanks so much Sweetcell! I'll make sure to stop by the Idea Box. :D
