my cat was snoopin through my art stuff, and I woke up... to see a stone cat...crumbling... I like it, it's just a coincidence here - what is growing out of it's butt?

"LOL"......I have no idea what this pic is about....I saw the "ref" pic, and I thought it looked kinda strangely funny and cute. I think it's a "caricature" of someone....I don't know who this guy is supposed to be.....but I never drew a caricature type of draw before, so I thought I'd give it a try. Well....I'm posting this as finished......I fixed him up the best I could. I might add a little bit of "dodge" tool to put some light on him.....but maybe I won"t....haha! I tried not using the texture tool.....I did start to use it on the trees....but I tried to "blend" it out. I googled "Botero" to find out who he is.....this is supposed to be a "self portrait" of Botero....."LOL"!

I cant say im that keen...it looks like you draw one half of his body copied it then flipped it over to make it look cemetrical.Which is fine if your drawing a gingerbreadman...but not so much in this case.

Well, flubadub.....this draw isn't supposed to be a realistic looking one......it's more of a satire, cartoonish, caricature type of draw.......it's ok if it looks like a gingerbread type draw....lol! I used the ref pic that Botero drew, and it looks very much like the original pic, except for his facial features.....I did a half ass job on that....haha!! I appreciate your criticism though......I know if you were to do this same draw....it would look perfect.....I'm not an artist....I'm still learning, and I have a lot of learning to do.....haha! :P Hi "BMW"......Thanks for commenting.....you want to know what the red flag means.....well.....I think you'll have to ask the original artist (Botero) why he put the flag there....but I'm glad it's there.....because I wouldn't want to draw what's hiding under that flag.....HaHa!!!! :D

ha ha ha ha ha ha ha mosquitos! It is indeed Mr. Price though not from that movie. I didn't use a ref. ( probably should have ) Oh well I had fun and Vincent Price is totally wonderful! The bit of "poetry" if you will is from his part in Micheal Jackson's Thriller

This has a pleasing effect to it. Wonderful colour blends and good balance. It looks like an extreme close-up of pixels.

thanks alot, I barely put any pressure on the mouse while drawing, and just used the squares and some of my fav colors, with some sharpen, and a little lighten/darken... all on about mid opacity/flow(well some on very low opacity/flow too) :)

I like what you said "MissDj"......I'd like to think that the "meaning" behind this "pic" is about feeling "secure".....not about what some people said about "peeing" on each other......thats' so "warped". I think axil said that. I think you are a great artist axil.....but sometimes you say things that sound so "warped"......no offense meant.....I'm just stating a fact.

"Incitatus"......

"Incitatus" was the favorite horse of Roman Emperor "Caligula". Incitatus is a Latin word meaning "swift". "Incitatus" had a stable of marble, with an ivory manger, purple blankets, and a collar of precious stones. The horse was attended to by18 servants, and was fed oats mixed with gold flake. Caligula even procured him a wife.....a mare named "penelope". Caligula also planned to make his horse a "consul". "LOL"!! This horse is making me crazy......I hope I'll be able to finish him....haha! I'm posting this draw as "finished".....I'm so tired of working on this. I love horses, but this little "stallion" really drove me crazy......he just didn't want to look the way that I wanted him to look...."lol"!! So I'm done with him for now.....I might try working on him more later.....I'd like to make him look a little bit better. I didn't really want to put the collar on him.....but the "ref" pic has him wearing a collar of precious stones.....so I added it...haha. :)
