Lol! This is clever, laureal. I love that little green birdie's facial expression!
Gigandas (Jun 30, 2004)
Hehehe, funny to think he's flying with such a fragile looking cape XD.But man, I'd stay away from that guy, looks like he could stand quite a beating. The bird is great too with that face of his XDDD.Nice one, laurael :).Just wondering but is the green bird like his sidekick?XD
laurael (edited Jun 30, 2004)
Naw...he was just flyin' along and got frightened by such a 'bigger' creature flying. That cape happens to be his 'recieving' (or baby) blanket. :) which is just for 'super hero' looks and security, btw. (He can actually fly without it)
Gigandas (Jun 30, 2004)
lol, I thought he was always frightened to be his sidekick XDD.Must be a magical baby too to be able to fly without a cape.Even Superman needs a cape....well now this guy can show him off can't he ;)?

@!*@%^#$%#! Lascaux! This was really a hands study, http://www.reinhardschmid.de/myhands/photos/hands35_2g_s.jpg. The background was just because I've been working on faces and light and dark.

Thanks for all the compliments and especially the suggestions on how to improve. They really help me.
laurael (Jun 29, 2004)
Wow...the hands are so realistic...and I love that ring. Fabulous job, Gigge...wow. :]
DeadlyBlondeArcher (Jun 29, 2004)
Very nice hands, and good distribution of light and shadows. Love how the ring and the irises match.
JackSprat (Jul 26, 2004)
All I can say on this one, is Wow! The details on wrinkling and texture on the hands is fantastic.

I can't get past the thought that this guy looks like he's takin' a leak..... would anyone else like to work on this? I'm tired of it.... I'm callin' it done, but there is more space if someone wants to do whatever to it...

Well.. I thought those were rocks in version four and I liked those rocks. Whatever it was, it was really nice and I'm looking forward to see where you're going next with this.
Aubrey (Jun 29, 2004)
Don't give up on it.. hell you could put a fishing rod in his hands and it wouldn't look like he was takin a leak! lol And have him fishin on the edge of a lake. Who knows. Is a good start to a picture though.
laurael (Jun 29, 2004)
Nice perspective on this...you are way too hard on yourself! Stop that at once and finish this. Do what Aubrey said and have him fishing... :]
LovelyLori (Jun 29, 2004)
hmmm no one wants to work on this huh? lol... whatever will I do with it? maybe the fishin' rod.... maybe something totally unexpected.... hmm....

This is a silhouette of Cindy's husband after he came home with Snapple instead of Lone Star..That is the pitchfork handle passing through his midsection. Good thing she was just annoyed and not really pissed! (This fits with the two I did mizz Cindy...we should frame em up and sell em as a set)
Anna (Jun 28, 2004)
hehe this is cute. I really like silhouette pictures :) This one is nice and simple.. yet very nice. Good job
Aubrey (Jun 29, 2004)
lol hilarious story. It really gives a face to the silhouette. Nice picture DB and nice to see Poppa finally believes his pictures could sell :) You SHOULD sell them in a set :-D
laurael (Jun 29, 2004)

So purdy DB :) the rays bring the sunlight so much closer and makes for such a dramatic yet purdiful picture.
laurael (Jun 29, 2004)

I like the sky and plant-life detail, a little work on the buildings would make it better, but it's still good by itself.
Rosemary (Jun 29, 2004)
love the sky..
Aubrey (Jun 29, 2004)
That sky looks very real! and the branch hangin down on the top right really is a nice touch. Good job Glow!
laurael (Jun 29, 2004)

Its the Shredder! You should draw a full shredder picture. He is actually a pretty interesting fellow, what with teaching his rat all kinds of martial arts.
laurael (Jun 28, 2004)
Thanks all...
You called the Shredder a 'nun'? How dare you...lol.
I 'am' going to draw the Shredder in full gear, soon, but he wasn't the one that had the rat...sorry. Hamato Yoshi had Splinter as a pet. Shredder is Oroku Saki. :)
Knockoff (Jun 28, 2004)
lol, the teeth are cool. (can't do teeth that well). The background goes well with the picture :D
Gigandas (Jun 30, 2004)
And look....Shredder makes an appearance in laurael's Turtle World!Hehehe XD, looks like one of those shots from Street Fighter or something where they announce the fighters XD.This is great :).Love the anger in this one XD.My money is on the turtle^^....
