We have met the beast , and it is us. Inspirations, My new love of absente , an H.P. lovecraft influenced movie called " Dead Birds" , My brother at his comment of absinthe, and Cindies warnings of it. My brain itches. :}

Thanks guys! I corrected the spelling. I'm confusing the original absinthe with the "new" ABSENTE. A modern version of the original recipe. The single difference is they replaced the banned botanical wormwood with a less bitter cousin, southern wormwood. Known as petite absinthe.
This is the first legal absinthe available in america since 1915. A little worthless history for ya'. :}

It's small but it's pretty cool. Nice work, the highlights give this portrait nice form and contrast.

Yeah, I know Lori. It's more than a little odd. Thanks Sincity and Davin. I'm glad it made someone laugh. :D
ironoxide_red (Jun 16, 2005)
Well. I'm glad I don't live in Antarctica! :D
Gigge (Jun 16, 2005)
Yes, the truck jacknifed and there was a frozen vegetable break. Antarctica has never been the same. In fact, the name seems to have been changed to Antartica.

I just saw your purple one. >u< Although it's obviously water and sky, it reminds me of red foil covering valentine's chocolates and velvet!
Very cool,
Err...hot (since red's not a cool color on the color wheel! ;) )
emmamommalag (Jun 1, 2005)
Thanks, George. And now I'm hungry for chocolates. ;)
laurael (Jun 5, 2005)
You experiment with colors very well...and red is absolutely my FAV color...Yay!
LisaAnne (Jul 18, 2005)
Just the red tone to such a grand thing as the ocean gives it a very interesting flare...makes you wonder about death and life at the same time.

Zack (Jun 7, 2005)
Javier, you could get forty comments on every picture and still be underappreciated. This is fantastic. :)

New Song
Zack (May 29, 2005)
For those who enjoy classical-style piano, I just wrote and recorded a new song this evening on my keyboard. Here's the link: Minuet in D Minor (mp3 download - 1.8mb) Be warned: it gets much louder in the middle of the song! This is an actual songwriting effort on my part; usually I just record improv piano. Took a bunch of tries to get a recording I liked. What do you think? Should I bother writing it down ...
