For reference, in the book he (the worried looking brown cat) nearly kills his leader but ultimately ends up killing his brother (the one on the left) for having brain-washed him ig
So basically this is like an AU where he did kill his leader and realizes it's too late to turn back which is why he looks so scared

TLDR; I changed the art style completely because the first one didn't capture his worry and it looked rushed and hard to tell what was going on
