Futon frolic.I tried refining the hatch shading a bit. Probably won't do much more with this. It was an exercise in trying to remember how to draw after not doing anything for a long time. I'm sure I shouldn't try a complicated pose without a ref--lotsa stuff off. Feels weird when you can't even manage to get your tablet angled correctly to draw diagonal lines. My drawing hand is retarded. At least I'm hoping it's my hand and not my brain. :-O

I can't fathom why this isn't in the showcase. I love looking at all the colours in the grill and the rust. The theme from Bonnie and Clyde plays in my head every time I see this picture.

I think alot more pictures should get into the showcase. And more people should have the authority to put them in, that way it covers a wider spectrum of different opinions.

I have this sculpture project here at home that I must finnish for art and It has to look like a person. Now I am pretty familiar with drawing people and their proportions, but i SUCK at sculpting them. And knowing I can look up to everybody (AMAZING ARTISTS :3) here, And some of you are quite familiar with making people sculptures and 3D art, I am asking for tips and stuff! Great color and I really love the intricate details in those roots! Great accent with the reflected lights in the bkgrd too!

Thanks y'all =) dave, I think it looks closest to a dime when I compare it to the other profiles...I'm guessing the image was flipped because the profiles on our coins all face to the left, while this one obviously faces the right..the ref photo was shot super close and this is all you can see so I'm really not sure!

Symmetry looks perfect, I don't know how that works with chibi. Interesting rendition of a tree, I like it.

suntan--in chibi try > layers/duplicate layer then >effects/flip horizontal or verticle chibi is pretty sophistamacated:) thx davinci

Dan:Diffusion should be around 215-225 Anti-aliased: ON (checked) Blend: ON Opacity and Flow should both be at 255 Everything else should be left at the default setting. Use brighter, more saturated colors than usual when painting at these settings, as colors lose their potency. And obviously, there's some technique involved but I'm sure I don't need to go into that with you.
