Flubbles and jekyll (Aug 24, 2010)
I need to get this out of my gallery, must finish it, got no room. Hopefully me and Jekyll can have a stab at it some time. Hope he doesn't mind me setting it to unfinished, because in my mind it's a step closer to getting it finished.

2draw updates: new JTablet 2 for Mac, Lascaux v0.8, and ads gone
marcello (Mar 3, 2012)
For all you Mac users, I've released a new JTablet 2 alpha that should work on Snow Leopard and Lion! On top of that, Lascaux Sketch v0.8.0 has been released with a new scatter brush tool and a number of long overdue bug fixes. As some of you noticed, Live 2draw is no longer available. It was a little expensive to run and not popular enough to justify keeping it up. I also removed ads from 2draw since they suck. Happy drawing!

it reminds me of someone as well, but i can't put my finger on it. anyways, great stuff as usual.
Flubbles (Mar 4, 2012)
It reminds me a bit of Alicia from the Good Wife, but I'm not sure if thats who it reminded me.
Moosh (Mar 4, 2012)
Yeah, that makes sense what with the dark hair and all. Reminds me of Karen Allen for some odd reason.
Flubbles (Mar 4, 2012)
Aye, I think it's more to do with the facial expression. Karen Allen has a similar facial expression too.

Schoolwork. That;s why I made it here. This is only place where I can draw so big, so I can print it :) Hope you don't mind it, Marcello

You're still listed as a member, Roytje, so you should be able to log in. You've got draw, upload and animation save access. If you can't remember your old password, just re-register. No one is ever there anymore but it's all still functional except I disabled the messaging, forum and member's galleries because we kept getting spam.

Shults, it's a drawing site similar to this one but it doesn't have Lascaux It is unusual in that members with access can upload their art and work on it using Shi or Chibi. They can also download the animation files and all the studios have 1048 X 1048 canvas size options.
Roytje (Nov 18, 2011)
That's great. Thanks! :)

this is cool with the blue light in the eyes... I really like that red on the forehead too... another great one - the colors you choose remind me of old Renaissance paintings which I really really like... like this one: http://www.art.com/asp/View_HighZoomResPop.asp?apn=12969680&imgloc=21-2129-Z00DEW4O.jpg&imgwidth=671&imgheight=894

Your art skills are always stunning my friend XD

I like her strong facial expression, how you used bold, defined colors to put the lit part of her face into focus. Amazing portrait, really

Disturbing and very cool.
Teapot (Nov 10, 2011)
So disturbing, eh? First thing that came to my mind was 'cremation of a murdered girl'. I've been watching too many cop dramas.

my pleasure, to disturb.

This work speaks to something inside of me. There is something craving/possessed, almost sexual with the way the mouth is parted and the hand clawing against the side of the face. I really like the way the hand is done!
Teapot (Oct 20, 2011)
It is a powerful piece. I find it disturbing but I'm still not sure why. I agree that there seems to be something sexual about it. I think it's the blindfold and the title that give me that impression. I go back and forth between seeing the hand and the 'red' (blood? raspberry jelly?) as sensual/savoring to seeing it as clawing/fear/insanity. Then I think...is it about a person who is refusing to see something base (violence? greed?) or unwanted in their own nature? Regardless, it's great to be able to produce a piece that draws the viewer in and invites them to give the image an interpretation. Congrats.

Cuuute!
Imperfect (Nov 18, 2011)
A late thanks, but better now than never. Thanks for giving my drawing so much thought, BlackBird and Teapot. It's great to hear your interpretations. I had something in mind, but I like leaving it open to the viewer. :)
