There are two dates of time that they'll carve on your stone
and everyone knows what they mean
but what's more important is the time that is known
as that little dash there in between.

This, Miss Cindy, is beyond amazing. I am a true animal lover and I believe you portrayed this deer with exactly the feeling and the grace it should have. Your drawings are amazing but this one adds feeling and its just perfect.

For years I worked for a law firm in the middle of this (one of the black glass bldgs. between the ball tower and the triangular building, and every day I was in awe at how the architects and engineers had the forethought to design the buildings where the golden glass faced the southwest and the black glass faced the dark and artificially lit sides of the city... the light play at different times of day is amazing. I always thought this would be a great subject for art, but all of the straight lines prevented me from doing it on canvas - a pain in the you know what. The wonderful tools in the applet make it possible to try something I'd otherwise never have done.

Wow, the detail in this is great. Everything of yours is perfect, though.

Little late for a comment but...
Awesome drawing! I remember this place as Beautiful and unusual when passing by it to get to Six Flaggs Amusement Park. Oh I loved Six Flaggs.. Good times. Hate the traffic in Dallas though.

Cool.. I think make the sky, itself, darker in relation to the city..and use the dodge or burn ( i always forget which is which) to make the exploding centers brighter and to highlight the ends of rhe streams.. cool one.
emmamommalag (May 11, 2004)
This is very pretty, gloworm. I kinda liked it the way it is... looks a little foggy.
gloworm043 (May 11, 2004)

really really really good job DMV!!!! interesting use of all the shapes and that ball wins first prize!
davincipoppalag (May 9, 2004)
Some pure white..blue and black highlights make that Chrome look thing...
marcello (May 10, 2004)
the only problem is it doesn't look like a pinball at all... In fact, it looks much more like a bumper in a pinball game than the ball itself. (Which surprises me that everyone thinks it's perfect....)
Try looking at something chrome. It will basically never be grey. example

As for getting perfect shapes, lascaux does have an ellipse tool, or you can just use a really large brush and click once, as it looks like he did here...
DMV (May 10, 2004)
Thanks Marcello for the reference pic .besides the obvious( not looking chrome ) I also have to add the reflection of the surface its on, to the chrome ball.

I've always loved Christopher Robin's friends...Tigger is my favorite..I have stuffed Tiggers, Pooh slippers, Tigger watch, Tigger sweat shirt, (all gifts from my family). Last year, I got the Tigger Movie for Christmas..which I watch with my grandchildren..I guess I'm just a kid at heart..

This is very pretty, glo. I like the softness of her face.
davincipoppalag (May 5, 2004)
The forehead is a bit high and the area below the nose is a tad short in comparison with the rest of the face using the nose for reference. I like the softness (shup Cindy) and I think you're brave to venture forth into the (shudder) world of drawing faces! lol
foxman8245 (May 6, 2004)
nice one mom!! I can't do faces like that either LOL Keep up the good work =-))
gloworm043 (May 9, 2004)

My interpretation of a griffin, here we have a small grey femal roosting at her favorite spot near a brook. :) Hadn't had an original from me for a bit so I thought this would be good. Enjoy.
