Ever since Deadly Blond Archer drew the clown doll I've been wanting to draw my own old doll. I find them interesting and creepy. Thanks Cindy for the inspiration. Found this image on Google somewhere.

eugh... dolls scare the pants off me. and yet... there is a horrible fascination. like looking at a train wreck, or a horror movie. i love all the little details you put in on the face and the window (it's a window to me, anyway).

I hate to say it, but the eyes really bug me... they are completely unrealistic.... I dunno... they should be more rounded than rectangular... Other than that (I'm looking at the bottom half of the face right now) the picture is down right spiffy! other than the eyes and the background, this is a grade A piece... :)GREEN DOTS GREEN DOTS

I am a newbie on this site. A professional Art Teacher by trade. Mastering ANY of these drawing applets will be a challenge. They are very different from the program I use offline. This drawing ended up being an exercise in color (finding them on the RGB scale) and in composition. I will try a more realistic piece if I can master the dang tools! Very cool site tho, love the artwork here. Also, I don't currently own a Wacom pen. that would help.

Type in the comment box under "post a comment".. look down below. I like your colorful abstract piccy. Welcome to 2draw. Just keep experimenting with the tools until you get the hang of it. Try the different applets.. everybody seems to have their favorite after awhile. Different strokes for different folks.

Welcome to 2draw.. I prefer the Lascaux applet. Once you get used to it, you will love it. Look in the wiki on this site, and there is the start of a tutorial, at least one that tells what the tools are. It will be nice to have someone here who teaches art. I haven't had any formal art training, just a class or two of "cut and paste' in college. You don't need a pen. Some of the best here never use anything but a mouse.. look at Aubrey, Axil, and several others.

3rd online piece. This idea pretty much came to me... during a commercial. It had nothing to do with the commercial, that's just when it popped in to my head. lol. The commercial was about cars or something. Ironic isn't it. I'm in a cleaning mood... so instead of cleaning my room or clearing out my work binder.... I'm clearing out unfinished pieces from my studio. I touched this one up a bit, and I'm letttin' it loose.

Just a sketch. Didn't take me nearly as long as it says I did. I originally started drawing something different... but was struck with a flash of an image, and decided to draw it. So... Are there any skewed shadows or angles? Suggestions welcome. When I step back and look, the right eye look like it should be shifted, which I will probably do. But... comments? criticism?

This kind of looks like a deathmask. I would like it better with sharper edges, but I'm a pain in the ass about that.

I actually sort of like the first version best, it's very interesting. But the last version is very good, I don't see any messed up shadows, but I could be clearer on that point if I knew where the light source was coming from exactly. |

This was going to be a 15 minute portrait but Bob was hard to draw, so I kept drawing him until it looked enough like Bob that one could look at this drawing and say "hey, that looks like Bob"

is this Mao Tse Tung? In his decrepit old age? Anyhow, you made him more beautiful than he should be. Hee hee. What are you, one of the gang of four? Or five or six? Or are you just home on the plane of mainland China? Did you ever used to read "Young lust" I think that was the name of the comic? They had a great "step forward" along with young lust on the mainland,politically correct no less. Great picture fantastic, I'm not worthy, but I don't really care. Ha ha fantastic keep it up.

Great style, love the night-light colors... the only thing I see that might be better changed is the angle of the guitar.. it bends and is off a little... but other than that.. this rocks! :)
