Ooh, I zoomed in on this one. I thought it might be a composite of some of your works in that checker pattern. Interesting piece though.
LovelyLori (Jun 17, 2004)
not feeling THAT clever at the moment... sorry, lol
emmamommalag (Jun 17, 2004)
This makes my eyes hurt but it's kinda clever and looks like a study in patience. I like it, Lori. :)
davincipoppalag (Jun 18, 2004)
I zoomed up too,and it looks like you're looking at a cityscape out of the windows of a tall building.. it'
s cool. When I die my bills will be worth millions.. but I won't care then lol

Omegosh! Zack's devolving! Hurry, break into the geneticists lab and steal their evolutional accelorator! Don't worry Zack, just stay calm, we can fix this.

Heh, awesome, glad I decided to glance at the Sprite board. Say... do you live in an animal test lab where they do weird things like make you draw on 2draw?
Zack (edited Jun 18, 2004)
Yes. They're trying to find out how long someone can use a computer with only 128 megs of RAM and a crappy OEM optical mouse before their head explodes. I've had a few close calls, but nothing permanent yet.

Nightmare66641 (Jun 12, 2004)
I tried to do an image of the nightmare, be it the one from Magic: The Gathering, or the monster from Dungeons & Dragons. Unfortunatly my mother's computer is a pain for drawing with. My hand started to hurt after a while so I majorly slacked off. Drawn with a mouse here on the beginner boards because my tablet is at my father's house.

Haha :)!I love Nightmare. The awesome black horse with a flaming mane and flaming hooves XD.This looks nice, but didn't Nightmare have a orangeish and redish region near the nose?Either way, great job :).
Nightmare66641 (Jun 13, 2004)
yes it did. I tried to draw it but I couldn't with a mouse. My next one of the nightmare will be far better.
"the nightmare arises from its lair in the swamp. As the poisoned land spreads, so does the nightmares power and terrafying rage."
-Nightmare, Magic: The gathering, sets alpha to sixth.
Northern_shadow (Jun 17, 2004)
haa! im not the only1 who draws nightmares >=D nice pic ^^
Nightmare66641 (Jun 17, 2004)
She is my lady and I love her. The nightmare is the only one to whome I bow. She is Caliphere (read Magic:The gathering issue #1 NIGHTMARE: The Vanishing Lands) The nightmare is the one who brings to you your dreams and nightmares. When you wake up in the night and stare into the darkness, The Nightmare is the one who is staring back.

First attempt at cliffs and waterfall. When did trees become so difficult?

davincipoppalag (Jun 17, 2004)
Not bad Gigge.. the edges need some sharpening, and the cliffs could use some more horizontal elements to break up the vertical striations.. but this is nice..

Thanks for the suggestions, Poppa.
Knockoff (Jun 17, 2004)
Ohh, this is really nicely done.
I love the depth. And the little waterfall is nice.
If you put more detail into each thing (grass, trees) becuase overall you have a lot of detail, but it looks flat in some spots. Still very nice.
emmamommalag (Jun 17, 2004)
That's better, Gigge, now that you've sharpened it up some. It's a very nice picture.

out of curiosity, dmv... have you ever read the "otherland" books? if not, you'd adore them. your art reminds me strongly of them.

this is very unnerving. i like.
davincipoppalag (Jun 16, 2004)
Damn D..you should sell some of these to a greeting card company for a line of Halloween cards! Promise me you will never illustrate children's books! lol Great draw... This one is a classic!
DMV (Jun 17, 2004)
This didn't come out as evil as I wanted ...but thanks all:)

who´s princess mononoke?...Hi c how are you doing?....
Aubrey (Jun 16, 2004)
Fly like the wind puppy :) best o' luck! You should put all of your pictures into a book Zep. It'd be like a whole book full of short stories cause your mind can make up the rest of them from the pictures.

she fights against the people who destroy nature (and the forest she lives in >>i deserve a better future)
i'm not an anime-fan, but this is an amazing film..http://mononoke.redwall.tv/html/media.html#(there is a trailer when you click in the upper left corner.. takes some time to load though)
i tried to find a picture where she is in a position that looks more like your drawing, but google picture-search doesn't have one
Knockoff (Jun 17, 2004)

...it's called addiction zep...Hello I'm davincipoppalag..and I'm a drawaholic........there is NO cure...
Aubrey (Jun 16, 2004)
*stands up.. shuffling feet under me*.... *ahem* My name is Aubrey and I've been a drawaholic for 21 years... it started with doodles.. my dealer was Crayola.. it quickly became an addiction though and consumes my every being even to this day... I.. I just can't stop *sniffles*
This is the funniest expression you've done yet I think Zep. It's just great. The face.. the posture.. the background. I think the face has more of an impressed look to it.. like "that.... is one huge dinosaur"
Knockoff (Jun 17, 2004)
This one is great, zep. The background colors are excelent, and the orange color in the background is awesome, I like the transparency of it.
Hehe, what a fun trip.

It's pretty good. I mostly just wanted to say that there have been a lot of pictures with the title "eye of the beholder," I've noticed. Has anyone else?
Gigandas (Jun 15, 2004)
Umm....mine was The Eye of the Wretched......does that count^^;?
davincipoppalag (Jun 16, 2004)
If I was holding a bee I would be terrified.... this is kinda cool lookin..its got that "DinoFlorist texture" thing goin on..
Erewin (Jun 17, 2004)
A thoughtful, inquisitive look, with minimum use of lines. Almost like he's looking over the top of half-moon glasses or something.
