Stevie Ray Vaughan - October 3, 1954 - August 20, 1990
He is my all time favorite artist. His guitar seemed to me not to be a musical instrument when he played it, but an extension of himself. He didn't play his music, he was the music. If you ever saw him live, or viewed any of his concert footage, you saw that he put his soul into it. No one wielded a guitar like that before him, and no one has since. My rendition of him may not be worthy of this board, but he's worthy of it so this is where he goes.

I'm working from a photograph taken during one of his live performances.

I, also, will be 76 and have quit smoking so I'll be able to push poppa's wheelchair around. He's promised to hook me up to that pizza. Yay! And monkeyboy, I hope you get a better reward than that for all your hard work.

Whew ^_^ when the site said "image not found" after I submitted this, I almost had a coronary. I worked so hard on it.
