The wonderful world of cat eyes.....I know this has been done....thousands of times, but I just wanted to try my hand at it too....No references, I've just had LOTS of cats in the past.....this was my Carrisha. I miss her :( |

Tubular :) Everything 80's is coming back. Just a grat piece, your getting the feel of water Elly. You need to do a full landscape.Like how you mapped out the wave and the curve the little man is taking.

Sweetcell & shults, don't look at the "water", look at the mid-tones, highlights, lowlights, and shadows along with the over all shape. Keep trying though!! You'll get it!!

Less is more with water and shiny stuff. I still can't do shiny... look at some of Axil's and Annas...

believe it or not kutie, these are my first! It took me a while to feel they were looking realistic but I got the hang of it.....I think!suntan toes, I love your user name....and I love it when my feet are tan!!!! Thank you =)

After seeing these water pics of yours I really have to try myself. I don't know how hard it is but damn you make me want to try. It's all a matter of placement of refractive colors and shapes I know, but it's harder than it seems. Hope you do more of them elly, you obviously got the hang of it. |

If you need to see water pics you must look up DBA's stuff. She's become an expert around here. I haven't even dared tried except in landscape pieces. Your getting good so fast I'm a little in awe. And, hey, is that Dorothy's house I see?

surprisingly enough, this is all the actual photo showed of the water. Barely there low lights. I'm thinking about doing more to the water but......do I get points taken away if I work more on a "finished" drawing? (like it really matters right??) I lost some points for going back and reworking a previous finished drawing not long ago (big improvement to the drawing though). Thanks for your kind words Sweet. I was checking out your work and what TOTALLY AMAZING work you do!!! It's an honor to receive a compliment from you!!

I was going to check this finished but after it loaded, I noticed this strange sort of haze line on the left side. Very odd. And, I wish I could have sat here on this for 6 hrs! Half that time is more like it. Drawing inspired by oil painter, Anton Gutknecht.
