Yellow's not just for flowers

Well, it's a little belated, but, in honor of my mother just the same (9/10/38 - 4/29/07). I always do a drawing in honor of my mom about twice a year, her birthday and the day of her passing. My mother LOVED yellow, flowers mainly, but I decided to do something a lil different this time. She had this pink ceramic piggy bank all my life that she kept change in and then stored on the highest shelf possible (away from lil hands). I always loved it! When I saw this yellow guy, I knew it was 'the one' this time....thanks for lookin'!

I like yellow too. But I hate orange. This is an amazing yellow pig pot drawing, your mother would have loved it I'm sure.

I got pretty frustrated with this one....working from a black and white photo...I decided to take it to another program and desaturate it and it looks MUCH better that way! It's time to put it away for a little while tho....Thanks for lookin'! Edit/update: This is an old drawing and one of my least fav pieces...not really finished either and likely will never be.... but I'm tired of having it take up space in my WIP folder so I'm marking it up as finished and movin' on.....life is too short!!

Wow thanks dorothy! He's always looked sort of 'ghostly' to me which I'm guessing came from me trying to guess his true coloring using a black n white ref photo...when I take the color out, it's much better! appreciate y'all's comments!

So, this started out to be more of a photorealism piece which would've had a pretty lil blue butterfly but somehow this seems more fitting for the season....lol

I know where you can get some stuff that will make her look like this. You have to wait about 30 minutes after you drop it, but yeah.
