emmamommalag (Jan 13, 2005)
Hehehe. I like that smiley on his chin. It reminds me of the mark the Phantom used to leave with his ring. lol

This is a drawing. I did it in Lascaux. It's greyscale. It's a guy at a computer. He's saying "Hello" to some other person somewhere.

This defines the term "less is more". This is very impressive.
Anna (Jan 12, 2005)
Amazingly realistic. I can help but just stare. I really really like this one. (lol, don't I say that on all of your drawings?? ..but it's true!!)

Inspired by a painting of Diana done by HD Johnson - love his subject matter, but his tones are very muted, and his style is even a bit softer than mine, so I tried to brighten it a little, and changed the composition some

Aubrey (Dec 19, 2004)
That's really neat. It does suck losing revisions and things cause you CAN'T duplicate it, especially after your nerves are shot. Just not the same feeling and heart that goes into it I guess. This came out great though.

This will be an experiment. I want to attempt to do a demonstration from an oil painting book.
Joseph Sheppard titles the book “How to paint like the old masters” The demonstration I’m going to attempt is lesson two. I will be posting the numbered instructions from the book and then what I had to do differently to adjust for Lascaux. I will sumbit each step seperately. Wish me luck, if I get sick of it I’ll either delete it or paint a big smiley face over the whole damn thing. Please forgive me if this gets too wordy Marcello.

No memo needed Zack, what I said here still stands just as CLEAR as it did yesterday.

Strange that emmamommalaq's reply only refered to the cats.
DejasView (Oct 16, 2004)
emmamommalaq said: "Excuse me, Mrs. DeadlyBlondeArcher.. did I say there was anything crude or vulgar about that pic? I was just stating facts.. the breast added nothing to that picture. In fact, it looked inane." The fact is, this is only a fact according to you, emma. It is only your opinion. Just because you think the tit didn't add anything to the pic doesn't make it a fact.

memories.... memories...
Xodiak (Dec 5, 2004)
I like the statues they build in graveyards. They often build some really nice ones. It is mostly the dead young people and the children who get the most beautiful statues on their tombstones. I once saw a strange looking angel holding a piece of broken glass. I have also heard that some thieves often steal these statues. I heard of a story of a little girl who was not older than 4 or 5 years old when she died and her parents hired a very skillful sculptor to create an extremely accurate and lifesize statue of their little girl with angel wings. And decades after her death, graverobbers stole the entire statue and the parents felt very sad. <:(

This is so dramatic it left me in awe. I love how she drapes herself over the pedestal as if she is weeping and lost. You dig deep inside of yourself when you draw and you should continue to do that.

This was going to be a 15 minute portrait but Bob was hard to draw, so I kept drawing him until it looked enough like Bob that one could look at this drawing and say "hey, that looks like Bob"

Old bob? Is it twin peaks we're talking about here?
dorothyblueeyes (Mar 24, 2012)
is this Mao Tse Tung? In his decrepit old age? Anyhow, you made him more beautiful than he should be. Hee hee. What are you, one of the gang of four? Or five or six? Or are you just home on the plane of mainland China? Did you ever used to read "Young lust" I think that was the name of the comic? They had a great "step forward" along with young lust on the mainland, politically correct no less. Great picture fantastic, I'm not worthy, but I don't really care. Ha ha fantastic keep it up.
