I like concept and the choice of canvas size, but I can't tell the city lights from the stars. I think the city lights should have been a bit larger and in a somewhat less random arrangement than the stars so that the impression of a sprawling urban area would have been more apparent. I like your work.

don't be blue. this is a good job! i like how she kinda blends into the bg...and very nice shadin on her shirt. maybe shape her arms a little, and sharpen up a bit in general...but very nice job. been lookin through your other pieces too; nice work. keep at it, and you'll be amazing before ya know it!

As I understand it, Navajo is not really a "written" language, so to speak, but while I was visiting for a few days on one of the reservations, the granddaughter of an elderly Navajo woman who made me a traditional horse blanket (from her own home-spun wool, from her own sheep) wrote down some of my favorite words for me. Ei-nhi' is Lightning in Navajo. In return for the beautiful gift, I gave the granddaughter the pearl necklace I was wearing. It was much prettier against her dark skin than it had been on mine, and it is one of my favorite memories. This is neither one of those people, of course, and I am just chasing rabbits here because I have to write a description on every picture and this is what I was thinking of. :)
