Great job Arique, too bad you were too late, imo it was one of the best runs of to hide from the other artists in this contest So you just get a virtual feather in your hat. :D

OH man what a frickin bummer. This really rocks though, great way to combine the two. It's a great painting, I like the colors and his expression...really gets the feelings of love and hate across. I understand the competition thing, I was in choir and I loved it...I used to joke that there were four parts to our choir instead of three...Soprano, Second, Alto, and MEL. *hated Mel* |

lole, the texture was there to hide some bad/cheap erasing i did XD... I couldn't erase the picture good enough for the red background i wanted @___@;;;lole thanks for the comments! :D <33

And because not everybody goes through the entire gallery to see all work in progress I'm seeking attention this way. My goal is to make this nude without using a reference, can any of you give me pointers on where I might be wrong anatomically or otherwise (skin tone, pose, etc.). To me it looks okay right now, but what do I know, ghe ghe. It'd make me very happy, because otherwise comments might be given after I put it on finished, which would...

This is so different, like she's brought up a storm around her. So swirly, and the yummy color combo of red and deep yellow. This is a fave of mine. Oh, and the subtle design on her close and hair band. :)

-practicing mostly anatomy here, like the angle of the face (crits welcome)-mods feel free to move this to the appropriate board if you dont think this is advanced quality. this will be my first image in this board, so im not too confident :/ yeah, i basically shose this board so i could have a wider canvas for the wings, and even then they didnt fit quite how i would have liked to. but that would have been ridiculously wide, so i made due with what i had. :)

this is really striking. i love the way you did the wings because when you look at them closely it's pretty simplistic (as far as i can tell) but the effect is gorgeous. colors are great too, especially the light on her hair.

well axil thanks for pointing that out after i mentioned in my description already (if you read it that is.) that i knew it wasnt 'advanced quality.'i needed to canvas space. so if you would like to take care of making sure it gets moved to the appropriate board then you go do that if it'll make you happy.. |
