This one definately deserves to be one of the winners, in my opinion.
I love the way the way you colored her hand like the bricks <3
concannon (Jun 29, 2006)
Awesome foreshortening. And your lineart, quite simply, rocks my socks. (Good general character idea, too. :])
HunterKiller_ (Jun 30, 2006)
Nice work on the hand, and good work overall. The right eye has drifted off too much though. If you would just bring it back it her face would look alot better.
Kloxboy (Jul 2, 2006)
Congratulations BunnySlippers! "Camoufler" is awarded first place for Contest Week 20: New X-Men. Camoufler is indeed a cool looking X-Men (or I guess she's an X-Women). She's small but packs a punch, a brick one in this case. BunnySlippers's character is beautifully drawn in an anime-like style. The character's pose is dynamic, the line work/coloring is tight and clean. Well done BunnySlippers!

Childlike_Vampire (Jun 28, 2006)
She has perfect aim, Robin Hood shooting an arrow through an arrow no matter what kind of perfect aim. As long as she can visibly see the target, and the laws of physics allow the object being hurled toward it to reach the target.

She has an uncanny sense of direction, if she can see where she's going, she can remember how to get to every place she's ever been.

She is also a spectacular acrobat, she has a natural ability to know exactly where to place her foot or hand and bend her body to pull off some moves only a mutant or a bot set at the highest level on a fighting game could pull off.

Dude...that's soo cool.
Sweetcell (Jun 30, 2006)
Nice action scene, and good background. Which laws of physics are we talking about though?
davincipoppalag (Jun 30, 2006)
Great entries in this comp. Nice one CV..I could use that "remember how ya got there " bit lol
Childlike_Vampire (Jul 1, 2006)
Laws of physics...ha well I was just thinking if it's through bulletproof glass, or if gravity would pull the object down before it reached the target kind of thing. No expert on physics, me.

Yukita.Riku (Jun 26, 2006)
Real Name: Rikuyo Mirimoto
Alias: Siren
Age: 17
Powers: She can create ultra-high sound waves with her voice. She can lessen or strengthen these waves at will, to the point of irratation, paralyzation or even death. One setback to her power is that she has no way of directing this at any specific target, so if she takes that mask off, you better run. She cannot talk normally with her voice because of her powers. She also has telepathic abilities that can, when combined with the powers of her voice control someone for a short amount of time.
Abilities: Highly skilled in ninjitsu, judo, and aikido.

Rikuyo was always a quiet girl, even before her powers manifested. She was born in Osaka, Japan. One day, at the age of 13, in school while making a presentation to her class Rikuyo's powers manifested. They did not kill anyone, but several people blacked out. Scared and confused she ran back home. After several monthes of tests and trying to figure out what was going on, the doctors realized that Rikuyo was a mutant. Her parents decided that the best place for her would be with other mutants like her, in a place where she could learn to control her powers. She now resides at the Xaviar Institute as a student. She uses telepathy to communicate with others.

A desk beside a window. There's a boiler behind a green armchair. A weird red spiral just entered through the window (?)

oh this is beautiful. i was about to ask if you were using layers or not, but i actually like it like this; it looks like a cave drawing almost, but with a good artist :P
Sweetcell (Jun 28, 2006)
Seems out of a book of myths someone would be reading to their children at the beggining of a fable. Likes alot.

I think there might be some people in the world born with different colored eyes. I wouldn't be surprised since there's every other kind of genetic mutation out there. At least they wouldn't have to buy different contacts if they were into Goth. Ok, way off topic. The blue is better but I like both. Sometimes my own eye's go green sometimes blue depending on the sun. Hmmm genetic mutation?
Shenzi13 (Jun 27, 2006)
Hmmm...I don't know.I still like the Idea of different colored eyes. I think they're pretty!^^ My eyes can go from blue, to green, to grey, to brown, and even yellow, Depending on my mood...Wierd eh?
concannon (Jun 28, 2006)
Of course there are people who have differently colored eyes. David Bowie, for example. For a while I had a dog who had one blue eye, and one brown (I subsequently wanted to call him Bowie, haha.) But he didn't work out, so we gave him to the family of a friend.
ILoveKenshin (Jun 28, 2006)
Different colored eyes are cool, anyway.. just try not to use the burn and dodge tools so much~
