Just laying down some basic ideas.

Drats, I hit my 400Kb limit again. Can't revise any further. There is too much emphasis on the knee to the left. I have some anatomical issues there but it wouldn't be so obvious if I didn't goof up the shading there.

oh! you should try something like this with the pen tool on oekaki! that way it might look a bit more like it was made with water colors or something...just a sugguestion. this is still prety good, though. i dont think i'd be able to pull something like this off

Thanks. :) I kind of wanted to make it look like it was made in mspaint with the obnoxious complementary colors for the background and robe. Just felt like doing it for kicks.

A brief doodle in the ukiyo-e style. I studied pictures from Hokusai and other ukiyo-e masters to try to get a feel for the stylization.
