A friend and I are doing an RP through deviant-art in image posts. His idea - pretty neat actually.

Anyway, here's Aiana. She's a character I haven't touched for awhile.

I drew this in a Hampton Inn in Oxford, Alabama... and I drove for eight hours today, so sorry about quality. :\ My hands are shaking.

Thasssal.

Wanted to say that I think this is just beautiful.
clover_pocky (Aug 14, 2007)
Sweetcell - Yes, those blue things are swords. I wish I'd put more time into them, but it was late and I wanted to sleep. I'm glad you like this. :)
.
Maiko - Yeah, you have a point, but it had nothing to do with what I drew. So uh, yeah, thanks, lol.

Backmag - <3 Thank you.
Wraith (Aug 14, 2007)
Maybe I have not commented until now because I was cleaning up the drool from the floor when I saw this. :D Sorry if I did not comment sooner. Besides, to me, it is kind of hard commenting on people who are way better than you. Maybe I am too complex?

Like Kloxboy for instance..... I mean, what else is there to say? I think Kloxboy is such a great artist, no words really can express the greatness of his art. Same with all other great artists in here. Plus, I think 2draw or whomever runs 2draw, wants people to really go all out when commenting, instead of just saying "Cool!, WOW!, Awesome!" Most of my comments ARE "Cool! WOW! Awesome", and therefore sometimes I might not respond because I think I would just be spamming if I did.

Anyways, here is what I might have said:

WOW! That is an Awesome drawing Clover Pocky! That hair is Fierce. And those eyes! And that Face! And those Breastuses! NIACE!
Maiko (Aug 20, 2007)
I do like this picture though :O so that comment wasn't really directed towards/attacking you, it's just frustrating that after people complain in a forum post they go and completely disregard what they were arguing for :o so anyway, no offense towards you or anything.

I like the composition and the colours used :3

Meep.

*hides*

(The space around him looks a little empty, maybe a smaller canvas? However, the -character- is scary as hell.)

I likie it..it's very different. Sort of looks like a skin mask as opposed to being the real face.
nekodesu (Aug 18, 2007)
Wow...that's a pretty haunting picture.
Brilliant...but haunting.

This is excellent and beautiful. It has such a painted quality to it. You should see how you can do with Lascaux too!
clover_pocky (Aug 15, 2007)
Wow, what a likeness.

Definitely try some Lascaux! You'll be able to get this paint-like effect there a lot easier. :)

Gorgeous. <3

That's the moment when emotions take over and start to flow out: when the frustrations and the pain and the tears all break through the wall and cut loose. You do this shit so well Klox

All they heard, over and over, the screeching, the sobbing, the desperate pleading -

(they knew it would amount to no avail.)

- "God, god, please, don't take him, don't take him from me..."

No one slept that night. They never did, and no one said a word to one another when they came to wake them the next morning...

..and after several hours he was brought home from the dentist with a beautiful bright smile and a set of braces and they gave him lemonade and cookies and he said...gee that really wasn't so bad after all.
clover_pocky (edited Jul 26, 2007)
Davi, I laughed so hard after I read your comment, that I woke up my house. XD

LOL, thanks. <3

DJ - It was the point, actually. <3 Sorry I made you sad, but I'm glad you get it.
enjoydotcom (edited Jul 26, 2007)
Lol@Dave and his immensely funny twisted mind. And if you don't mind me saying, a set of braces wouldn't be a luxury for this guy. Love how you did the vains on his arms.
Wraith (Aug 15, 2007)
HAHAHAH! Funny Comment Dave! Nice drawing Clover! At first Glance, I thought it was a Character known as Rawhead Rex. The most vicious character I ever knew.

I really love this style. And I'm not sure but i think I know you from somewhere else. Anyway, I find your picture here very interesting and I love the red.
clover_pocky (Aug 7, 2007)
Dav: S'what I was going for. I really like working in bright colour against black. Helps me see contrast and line quality better.

Klox: *hugs* I understand... my SO is really far away right now due to military. It's been pretty rough. And kudos to you for getting the reference.

Backmagic: Thank you. ^_^ Well, I used to draw on TigernTigress, but that board got really immature and kind of childish - also, the quality of the art was horrible, most of the time. So I left, lol. Nice to meet you and welcome to the boards. <3
Wraith (Aug 7, 2007)
My dreams are sometimes so scary, no movie could even come close to the horror. I dreamt of an old house in the middle of nowhere in the mountains, where up in the attic, witches would eat bloody rotting corpses. I don't know, even explaining it sounds tame compared to what it looked like in my dream. I tried drawing it, but the drawing was nowhere near close to that image in my head. At least you drew what was in your head. Cool style! I tried drawing like this too, but in photoshop.
backmagicwoman (Aug 7, 2007)
Yep, I knew I remembered you from somewhere. I draw at TNT too. Not so much now, just some uploads every now and then. My username was shellgames and then later it was poisonivy. Good to see you again.

Um, I know it defeats the purpose, but this was just me figure drawing from memory. No ref or anything. Just to see if I could.

Anyway, there's a shietload wrong wiith it, but I don't have the patience to figure out exactly what or why -

... and ironically, this is not what I set out to draw when I sat down today, lol. Muses are weird like that.

sorry.. only kind I have! lol
Sweetcell (Jul 28, 2007)
Dave is the KING of punny. Sometimes following the brush/pen is the only way to go. Art wants to be what it wants to be. I think it made a nice choise in this piece.

One thing, I really wish you would change your name, at least shorten it, it's..... (trying hard not to say annoying) Ah, ignore me.

I just spent a week and a half locked in a house with my paternal extended family, who, for the most part, exemplify just about all the traits I hate most in human beings. I'm sick of crying, I'm sick of yelling, I'm sick of thinly veiled resentment and catty remarks. I'm sick of tension and compulsive mourning. I'm sick of being surrounded by people 24/7. I'm sick of isolation and deliberate ignorance. There's been some violent and tragic stuff that's happened, but I'm tired of cowering under that cloud.

Mostly I'm glad to be home and counting down the last year before I can make a break for it.

the way the skin is done is awesome!

I sympathize, and to some degree, understand. I'm so grateful for college.

This is a really interesting style. I like the blue veins under her eyes.

I agree with you, Hokori. Women are much more fun to draw. All the reasons you listed are exactly why I like drawing women, lol. Also, I've never really tried drawing men. >_> I like the background the most, it gives the drawing more character. Did you forget to shade the bow? o_O
Sweetcell (Jul 23, 2007)
I draw women a lot because it's easier, but if you don't draw men on occasion you'll find it hard in the future, as with all things it's ggod practice.

And damn now I want to read the whole story and find out what the hells going on. The beggining I thought something totally different was happening. It's morbid, and freakifying, and well done.

The picture that is.
Hokori (Jul 24, 2007)
Sweetcell: You want to read my book? It's here: http://www.fictionpress.com/s/2214719/1/

Mocha: Yeah... I forgot to shade the bow. I might fix it in a little while... but it's not too noticeable, I think. >.<'

Me, native territory. No really, I live in the Panhandle of Florida, and this is, essentially, 10 minutes in my backyard. :)

So uh, me... from a ref. Not uploaded.

Pretty nice draw! Pretty girl too! :D

Wow you really live in a nice place. Great for drawing inspiration.
Mari-Ta (Jul 22, 2007)
Great shading, and I love how your pen strokes, while sketchy and free, still have a structured look to them.
The touch of purple on the face has a nice look--something I've recently taken to doing myself.
clover_pocky (Jul 23, 2007)
Aw, thanks! ^^;; I'm really not that pretty, but thank you.
