Shell Shock

from an old b&w photo from which the caption reads: A marine covered with dirt, grime and coral dust boards a coast guard assault transport in February of 1944 after two days and nights of fighting on Eniwetok in the Marshall Islands.

More than anything else, I wanted to capture his expression... that "thousand mile stare". Think I got it.

Just testing out a sketchy type of style.. Like Saikano. Not really working out.. Even the coloring is sketched.. sorta. And SHE looks like a HE. I'm planning to fix that though. >_>;

This picture is awesome, I like it alot, it really strikes me, like "Ooh, I like that, gotta comment and say so,". My favorite part is the lips...mebbe the eyes. lol.

She looks really sweet, though. I like her expression, it's very gentle and caring ... the sort of person that generally loves people. Nice pink on the lips, too.

try to make the ends of the lashes much thinner... Also, if you make the lashes less dense in their numbers, they will be much more dramatic... :)

Oh I'm so sorry I didn't see your comment, bumpinthenight, I really could have used that advice! But I guess..now I claimed it as finished....hahah i'm so sick of working on it. It was quite tedious. But that you for the advice...I'll definitely keep it in mind.
