I almost ditched this one....I wasn't liking it at all! But, I decided to mess with some tiny details and I decided I like it enough to post at least. Maybe, 'MAYBE' my last draw of 2009 so that was motive for me too....Happy 2010, y'all =)

It's very beautiful and also interesting to look at....I used comic books as my inspiration for anatomy all the time when I first started oekaki..but now I don't need them...and i think eventually you will be able to come up with more original pieces....you are a great artist and we all have faith in you...:)

lori, we all go through that, when we were young our imaginations could keep us drawing all day long, then we age and life sucks the imagination and magic right out of our minds and hearts, so don't feel bad, we all have that issue, I have things floating up in my head but can't seem to lasso them and put them down on paper, the way my mind's eye sees them, that is probably why I get stuck using photo ref. so much, it is easier than frustrating my self to death trying to pick my brain and make my hands produce what my mind sees....oh such is the life of a cynic...lol

This looks like a perfect "halloween" moon......I keep thinkin' I'm gonna see something spooky coming out of the trees....."lol"!! Nice pic!! :) I think this pic could use a werewolf popping out of the trees, to howl at that beautiful "full moon".....:)

dude, how could this not make it to the Showcase?? haven't seen one of these styles in a very, very long time! you did an excellent job, I knew instantly that it was Van Gogh. I like your take on this too because you didn't try to make it look exactly like it, and there's a blur in parts of it that makes it look softer compared to the orig. that has all the intricate details, which seem quite intense and sharp. But you still did great.

Thanks! :D I was trying to draw exactly what I envisioned everytime I think of Fall. And that is a leaf less tree, on a cool evening. I wanted to draw realistically, but that was not working so I kept it simple.

For Christ's sake! Just draw a little bit longer! You know damn well you can dish out a masterpiece if you tried. Most of your drawings are almost amazing. But 10 min here, 12 min there. I think you are teasing us. It takes me damn near 10 min to make crap lines. Please, make a masterpiece for us. Stop teasing us. Great 20 min draw. |

Most of my family lives in Pheonix AZ. They keep telling me to go visit, since they are always visiting us. They say Pheonix is a very pretty place. But very hot during day. I want to jump into this pool, only if u jump in it with me. I'm shy.I like that Marble effect. |
