zappo, i use a mouse. a tablet doesn't do half as much as people think. as long as you get an optical mouse with good sensitevity, a month of getting used to mouse work is all you need. i haven't used a pen or pencil in so long that my drawings off of the computer suffer...

with paintbbs hair, i like to lay down the colors, then use the blur tool on medium power and completely wash the colors together. then i go back over it with a 1x1 watercolor brush at 250 opacity (AMLOST completely opaque). that way you alredy have the main colors and only have to focus on doing fine strands :) |
