Dearest Mother,Words cannot describe what I have seen these last couple of weeks. I wish nothing more than to return home and escape from this horrible place. I pray every night, alone in my foxhole, hoping that by some miracle the war will end tomorrow. But they keep pushing us forward, forever forward. Our CO reassures us that we'll be home for Christmas. I want to believe him, but I just can't. Berlin is still so very far away, I don't know if I can live through another day, let alone a couple of months. Your letters and the thought of returning home are the only things keeping me going. geeze canibal, it took u an hour and 14 minutes on your first drawing, give her a break, she was probably playing around with the applet, this is interesting, tho i do think that a little more shading maybe around some of the...... um... features :P... might help the drawing a lot, other than that it looks very sexy.. no >:P

I'm gonna go ahead and declare this one finished, as I'm losing interest and my mind is starting to go blaaaaaughh... lol. I know it's still really rough, but I can only stick with a drawing for so long ya know? Plus I have homework to do. Anyway, This is a portrait of my sweetie, Vera. This is my first time on 2draw.net and so this was somewhat of a test, just messing around, seeing how the applet works. It has been a long time since I've tried coloring, and I don't consider coloring my strength particularly (I'm a pencil dude). I read the tutorial on skin tone and that really is what got me pointed the right way. I've never attempted this type of thing before. Huh. Anyway, hope you all like it. Suggestions are fine but I'm usually a hard enough critic of my work as it is. Improvements pending when I'm more awake.

That's great. It's amazing what you can produce when you use shadows and light, it's my favorite technique. Once you integrate line with that technique, there is nothing you can't draw, as you're probably aware.
