Human beauty and other proportional systems... I always find it interesting how mathematical everything seems to be, yet so many artists "hate math". I don't know if I agree or think that things are really broken down to just numbers, but I do think that things can be broken down into smaller units, if we see fit. Anyway I don't have alot to say, just thought it was interesting, and wanted to see other's thoughts on it. What do you think defines beauty? ...

I like it very much. =3 Especially the sketchyness of it. =D But the index finger is supposed to be -longer- than thumb, I believe. ^^; Either way, it's great. =D

although in a way the index finger is longer than the thumb in normal people, it depends on where you think the thumb starts. It actually starts near your wrist and that makes it technically a little longer, so the thing that's too short here would be the palm/the hand itself.I don't think any of that matters in this case though, because it seems kind of strange to be thinking of proper finger lengths when the arm is coming out of a swirl. =P

Thanks guys. Yeah, as you can see, I didn't really care too much for realistic proportions and whatnot. I actually didn't really try >_> At least it's on beginner now :D
