I know. I keep watching that arched doorway, thinking any minute now someone interesting is going to come flyin' out of it...I'll just sit here and wait until you've mastered some animation program. Okay?
JoeNobody (Jan 28, 2006)
You guys can't see the animation? Well, he does come out of the arched doorway after a long day at his desk, walks across the street and into his apartment building. He takes the elevator to the top floor then climbs the one flight of stairs to the rooftop. There he has his watering can and lovingly tends to his flowers. After watering and removing some dry petals he stands at the edge of the rooftop for a while, watching the others in the city as they finish their days. As the sun drops behind the buildings in the west and the lights in the buildings begin to glow he heads back down the stairs and to the elevator. Hungry but not wanting to return to his apartment to face eating another microwaved supper, he leaves out the front door and goes around the corner to his favorite tavern where he orders a Belgian beer and eats pretzels from the bowl on the bar.
DeadlyBlondeArcher (Jan 28, 2006)
Oh. I was thinking more like a little round fat man toppled off the roof while watering the flowers, bounced a couple of times, and then got flattened by a steam roller.
JoeNobody (Jan 28, 2006)
that happens in episode two.

Thank you. The more I see this one, the more I hate it though. Not sure what it is about this one.
DeadlyBlondeArcher (Jan 27, 2006)
For some reason... I think "justice" when I look at this, not seeds. I have no idea why. I like it, but it's more important for you to like it.
Sweetcell (Jan 27, 2006)
Looks like the beggining of one of the Great Masters works. I automatically think Michealangelo.

last week Dan asked why we draw and post these pictures and I've been thinking about it alot and here is my theory: we are doing it as play. As kids we are happiest when playing games. Drawing is fun , as is commenting on the art presented at 2draw. Our basic animalistic instincts are to seek comfort and be happy and art is an avenue toward this goal. or maybe we're just attention whores.

Sounds like a reasonable theory.

thanks for the comments, I'm getting another one soon
Childlike_Vampire (Jan 26, 2006)
What a great painterly drawing of a kitty! It's a very sweet tribute to your kitties. I really love the texture of it a lot, it looks so soft and detailed.
DeadlyBlondeArcher (Jan 26, 2006)
I used all the cats we ever had for nerf balls (if you hold them just right you can throw them a really, really long way) and then the last one we had got ear mites and when I tried to doctor them she tried to bite me and I shot her. Get a dog, I say. Yes, I'm evil.
Sweetcell (Jan 27, 2006)
Sorry to hear that PS. I've had 5 cats in my liftime (my that's a lot) and lost three of them. The last two are getting up there, it's a lovely tribute.

Stealing is bad. And so are those blood stains in the corner. <---*can't draw blood realistically*

woah, this is cool, very creepy feeling though.
I love the halftones, and the expression is sweet. The colouring you picked out are really good, i like how subtle everything seems, but then the eyes and the pink on the candy contrast with everything so nicely.
Sweetcell (Jan 27, 2006)
ditto with what juni said, maybe just use the fill tool to tint the blood a little, like you did the lollipop. now it's making me wonder how she got the candy in the first place.

Keith is usually so scary, you made him somehow look like a happy circus clown. LOL I'd try but charicatures (spelled right) are not an easy thing for me. I love the entries though.

18 plus for the gore. I have never done a gore one before. Think I could have really done better w/ the background. Liked how the girl came out though. Am tired and need sleep. LOL

I totally relate Felis, it's 3:00 am here, but this is my kind of style, ya, love fantasy art. Good gore btw.

There, this is done, finally, just wanted to tweak this before I got it out of my unfinished gallery. I won't waste anymore time on it. I just wanted to tell Marcello thank you for giving me the extra space(s) and putting up with my constant nagging and harrasment (the papers came today, I got it, 200 feet or better) Seriously, thanks so much Marcello.
Noremac (Jan 21, 2006)
felis you're prolly thinking of frazetta. and yeah, looks nice
Sweetcell (Jan 21, 2006)
frazetta and bakshi draw the same kind of genre, I learned from his art and many others, and thanks Nore.
