– latest 4: I need to do something with this unfitting creature.

I like this one. The sheen on the couch and the warm earthy colors are nice.

A man who has money and power and enjoys it. It's powerful in a subtle way.

This is a scene of the manga im trying to make, they are supposed to be the crew of a flying battleship and their role is to explore new frontiers (my brain is dry cant write more) please comment thanks!
Dr.Snoopy (Jun 20, 2006)
Good composition! But try to work on the shading and colours more, because they cheapen a bit your work. Nevertheless I like it :)
DarkCloak (Jun 20, 2006)
They look rather cool. You should draw them in a combat situation next.
Sweetcell (Jun 20, 2006)
Funny, for a minute I thought this was Dark Cloak's, yes I'd like to see them in combat.
NETO (Jun 20, 2006)

I'm not to sure about this one, But I like it. Title defines the facial expression, "Come again?" It's supposed to be based off of a classic joke about a demon about to devour a human."Any last Requests?" - Demon "Question. Why do super heros wear underwear on the outside?" - Human "...Come Again?" - Demon Rated 'cause of the amount of cleavage, wierd I know, but still....
Sweetcell (May 20, 2006)
I'm loving how you got the gold sheen on her dress, looks like spun gold. No need to worry about +13, if she were topless then yes.Maybe next time lower the eyes a bit, make the nose less long and raise the mouth up to give her a fuller chin. She looks freaky, someone you wouldn't want to mess with. EDIT: Now I know, I was thinking who she looks like, an evil Belle from Beauty and the Beast heh heh.

i don't know why im on begginner it looks like my best yet so far =P
shults (edited Jun 20, 2006)
your'e on begginer because unless it's intentional art thing, you didn't put enough effort into it. i think. and i'm not even talking shading. you could give their eyes and skin some color, do the line that separates the hands from body. make the heart more hearty and less pointt, and other stuff that are not hard to draw.and if you wanted them to be equal, i'm not sure, but i think that you could do a full man, than copy him, and use each one for other side. edit- i just saw you didnt want to use that tool. :)
Backstabbed_and_broken (Jun 20, 2006)
i didn't color or anything yet because i just got back from theropy o__0
xxPretty_Princessxx (Jun 20, 2006)
And yet its on finishedJUST SAYING I like the heart :/ a bit pointy... but eh
Sweetcell (Jun 20, 2006)
It's fine but you really need to spend more time on a piece and start working on shading, highlights, smoothing your lineart and making things cripser. Work some more on begginer till you get it then move over to intermediate. Otherwise your not ready yet. |

umm can some one tell me how too use layers? plez i need a backrond can some one tell me how?
Backstabbed_and_broken (Jun 20, 2006)
why are you yelling at peanuts leave them be
CommaQueen (Jun 20, 2006)
Layer 0 is the bottom layer--it's where you should make your basic sketching and where you later can do the background/color the figures. Layer 1 is the top layer--don't use this layer until you're ready to make your final lineart, because you can't erase--if you use the tools to white stuff out it'll block it on the bottom. Think about them as layers of plastic that, when you paint on them, are no longer translucent. Hope that helps. :3im done i think she dont got a body lol XD
Sweetcell (Jun 20, 2006)
CommaQueen I have to disagree. Use the main layer, the one you start out with, as your background, the next layer sketch your design, or the third it doesn't matter, but make sure your sketch is clear for you to get the shape to ink (line.) Next layer do the lineart by using the airbrush at med/low opacity and flow and make the lines thicker than you would, that way you can come back with the eraser on low to med/low opacity and shave the thickness down to what you want, not only do you get nice even lines this way but they're clean and very smooth. Make sure anti-alias is on. Then use another layer to color it in. Don't worry about going over the lines because you can erase the color that bled through (you also save your lineart.) You can get rid of your sketch layer now, unless your going to do a complicated background then you can use it as part of the background. I hope that makes sense. I always describe layers as tracing paper. You put tracing paper over an image you can trace that image and color it without ruining the original picture.Hope that helps peanut. You'll find the layers on the left of the screen. Place you mouse over the icons and read what they are. The paper on the far left is the add layer tool. |

I got this pic out of a birding book and modified it some for my drawing. :) I found the markings kind of hard but fun to do. I plan to look through and see if there are any more potential practice worth pics. ;) hehehehe. :D

HunterKiller_ (Jun 18, 2006)
It's a nice drawing. The top does look like a mourning mouth/face, cool.
DeadlyBlondeArcher (Jun 18, 2006)
I thought you were going to play a game.... are you playing with WAX? lol
davincipoppalag (Jun 18, 2006)
This has an organic look to it. The inside of that upper part looks like a rib cage inside a gutted carcass.
Sweetcell (Jun 20, 2006)

DeadlyBlondeArcher (Jun 19, 2006)
Let's go home, get stoned.... what tool is this?
davincipoppalag (Jun 19, 2006)
I think it't the lower slider under the halftone slider...and you flood fill.....that's how I've done this kind of look.
Excel_Ichigo (Jun 20, 2006)
): I like the pretty colors.
Sweetcell (Jun 20, 2006)
I thnk I know how he did this. Slider tool all the way to the right and the pen or airbrush tool at it's smallest and opacity and flow nearly full. Am I right? (probably way off.) |

Have you attempted any guys? I know how difficult drawing the male figure is opposed to the female but I'd like to see your version.
