When I saw the thumbnail for this, I said "patienceisoverrated" and I was right! =D
I really love those aquas and flesh tones. So delicious.
enjoydotcom (Mar 6, 2009)
Bump, back to first page. A great drawing like this shouldn't be pushed back so fast.

Is there a way to save brush settings?

marcello (Mar 4, 2009)
sadly there is no way to do it. you could record them on a hidden layer in your drawing... (also useful for storing colors)
enjoydotcom (Mar 4, 2009)
How can you record brush settings on a hidden layer? Writing the specs down you mean? The storing colors one I knew already. Never understand the swatch tabs you can get with Shi-painter (Waste of space).

Very nice drawing by the way, I like how it looks as if he is looking through a veil or a curtain. Don't know if that was what you're aiming at.
QTgillie (Mar 4, 2009)
this looks like another spock.....???? Very nicely done.

This is a familiar piece of your beautiful work, Elly! You think I sound familiar? "I might just really look strange"! Haha
elly (May 7, 2009)
I truly doubt you look strange, jekyll....unless there's a Hyde in there too!! LOL Thanks for checkin' out my draws! =)
Aubrey (Jun 13, 2009)
Such a pretty dolphin. Those light reflections are great. All that color makes me happy.

I do believe Catfish has turned the comment into a Non-sequitur (Definition:
A fallacy in which a conclusion does not follow logically from what preceded it.) (:>P
I too enjoy half untruths temporarily on every alternate Thursday's.

Well.....I tried my best to make this guy resemble Jim Morrison, of "The Doors". I did use a "ref" picture from an old record album. It's hard for me to get used to using the tools in lascaux. I went a little "crazy" using the "halftones"...."LOL"!! I hope I didn't make it too "glitzy"....but he is a "rock star".....and they sometimes get "glitzy".

Hi "Suntan",,,,Thank you very much for your nice comment....I appreciate it. I'm glad you like the "glitzy" version....I kinda like that one the best too. :) "MissDJ"....I clicked on the link you left here for your "pics" at youdraw. You really have a lot of nice draws there. I looked thru some of them....I'm gonna go back again and look at some more. You got a lot of nice comments on your draws. I don't remember seeing you there when I used to draw there in 2005. I went by the name of "doodlebug", and I have about 120 draws in my
gallery there. I like some of them a lot.....but there's several draws that I don't really like at all....and if I could delete them, I would. "LOL"! I don't know how to "post" a link here to my gallery at youdraw.....but if you want to see them....just type "doodlebug" in the "pic search" box....you have to include the "quotation" marks. ..."LOL"!! "Flubbles".....I do remember seeing your draws at youdraw. I've never really seen your gallery....but I do remember seeing some of your draws....and of course....they were all very good draws. I also remember seeing you at sketchfu too. You have amazing talent. "DaVinci".....I clicked on the link you posted here.....and I looked at all of your draws at youdraw, and they are all very good. I especially liked the one of the lighthouse, and also the sailing ship, and I liked that "sandpiper" bird. I see you drew most of your pictures in 2004.....I didn't discover youdraw until 2005. You really have a lot af talent "DaVinci".....I'm wondering why you don't post more draws at 2Draw. The ones that I have seen you do, are really very good. You should do more. :)

Hi Donna......Thanks for posting my link here......I didn't know how to do that. I'm glad you like my "pics". I was just learning to draw back then.....I never drew anything online before.....then I discovered youdraw.com.....and I started "doodling" there....that's how I came up with the name "doodlebug"...."LOL"! Thanks again for posting my link. I still want to go back to your gallery....and look at more of your draws. You really have some good draws there. "Judy"

Miss_DJ (Mar 5, 2009)
you could absolutely finish this with a mouse. It may just take longer. You already did the head nicely with the mouse..I hope you keep trying...just take it slow..you can do this.

gosh darn this is good, and so nice to see you commenting...I love it. I knkow we keep having this discussion but as good as this is, on my computer screen it has red and green blotches on his skin and his hair. You have said in the past that my screen is not as bright as yours probabally, but I think mine is too bright and therefore intensifing the greens and reds. As I have said before, when I see my draws on screens at school, they are not nearly as bright as I see them when I am drawing them. This concerns me because I think that people are not seeing what I intend my pics to look like. Well....enough said about that....

This is so well executed in every way. Your sense of propotion and subtle lighting that these masters are bringing out in your work is so nice to see. Keep them coming Flubbles.
