Man I shouldn't look at the thumbnail at 4:00 in the morning, I thought it was my request painting and the red thingy was a periscope of a sub running into a boat (lighthouse) Maybe I should go to bed.

Nightmare? Is that good or bad...? *rolls eyes*
I guess it depends on weather or not you like him. I personally think he's pretty cool and has a very unique style.
Ruggi (Jan 31, 2007)
Okay... I managed to find out how to search for users... This Nightmare?
They look great, those dark drawings! If that's who you meant then I'll definitely take it as a compliment! :o)

nobody owns the style, its there for the taking, it's just a case long you've been tapping the style, and the measure of your ability to play with it. - you done well hunter
nevertheless, orginality is found in getting there before everyone else.
DeadlyBlondeArcher (Feb 18, 2007)
What prophetic words from Renuar... "getting there before everyone else" :)
You won't know if it's a hit 'till you're emulated, but that's the idea

"Ness used the Sudden Guts Pill. Amazingly enough, his Guts rose to 357!"

BG is supposed to look like the ones you get when you fight a single Starman.
And that's a Super Plush Bear in on the right. I hope.

Reminds of Super Smash Bro's. Ness was awesome if you could use him.

Earthbound was my first RPG. Deliciously weird and the music was hauntingly addictive. Fondly remembering the background animation has me calling this a great homage.
101_Torchic_101 (Jan 24, 2007)
Earthbound was fun! XD Funny picture.

(hugs mr. saturn) (XDX) I just wanted to do that. I like his cute little bow, lol.

Nice structure, Klox ;) :-D.

You know, I wonder if the "lighting" comments turn up so frequently because that's the thing that jumps out most strongly at people - maybe because it is something that lots of people have trouble getting to look right? Just a thought - I'm only a tyro dabbler on this site and in art in general, so that might be way off base :P~. Anyway, I love your stuff!
sweet_insanity (Jan 13, 2007)
i always like your use of color, and how you can see the "strokes" of the picture, it seems to flow and carries great texture.
that and the interesting twisted features XD
davincipoppalag (Jan 13, 2007)
My turn.. I have to say some of us don't have much knowledge of art, and its we say we like this or that about a particular picture just because that's all we know how to say. I like this too, I like the exaggerated features, and yes.. I like the light too.. You rock , Klox...ok I'm done too
marcello (Jan 14, 2007)
On the other hand klox, one could comment that lighting is the only thing that makes any picture good. if there were no light, the image would be blank. a lot of our understanding of shape, form, and texture is based on how light reflects off things. of course, if one were to make an image represent form, shape and texture without light (ie, just abstracting the physical feeling somehow), that would be a whole other animal (arguably modern/abstract art attempts to do this, though maybe not with the same intent).

I think people like the fact that you tend to use more than one light source or have very little ambient light, giving your pictures a more dramatic feeling. Something that I think more people should try doing (self included).

Human art fart.
Kasha (edited Oct 16, 2006)
Something was brought up earlier in the forums. someone said that art is only produced by humans. I'm just curious to know your opinions. Please, refrain from telling me that it's the DEFINITION of art because you read it in websters. I want to hear your personal opinions. mine? I personally think can be created by anything. Humans didn't create the sky, but sometimes the color and texture of the clouds look so neato they remind me of icecream in the big buckets at Marble Slab. OR, look...
