That's really nice looking line art............:]One more thing about crediting a person for a characters it will depend sometimes, because there are alot of cases that one will come to draw a character tha will in some case will look alike like other characters already created by other people......... In this are called coinsidense, so yes we're living in a time were almost everything is already created in characters, so its really a shame that its really rear the time were one will see a whole new character created different from the rest of all other known characters........... I know because I have experianced alot in all of my years with some of mines, so don't fell guilty if you created a character out of pure imagination or based on dreams because most of mines are based on dreams so don't fell bad that a character winds out looking alot like others, unless one sees a character and tries to copy or steal thats when theres trouble, but until then don't credit if its your creation, credit if it was isnpiration from a character OK...................X3 ......................Logging of Lore.V................. the character design is pretty cool. i would sugguest you try using layers so your line art doesnt get blurred though.

Pandabarrie's on the right track. Also, you might want to get some good references on canine anatomy and lay off the watercolor tool for coloring. What you want is solid color, not blotches of it on white. If you want to practice with it later, that's fine, but I think you need to get a little more in tune with the basics.

ahahah, this is great. colours are delicious. i feel the need to comfort your frustrated little man (no sexual innuendo intended).my two cents: i don't feel there's anything inherently wrong with anime-- there's some incredibly skilled masters of the style out there, no doubt. but there's a hell of a lot more anime that doesn't fit into that category, and the pervasivity (i made up that word, but it sounds good) of it is insane. it' impossible to avoid all the art and artists of the style-- many of whom are very young and therefore naturally more inclined to fanaticism-- creating sheer armies of anime eyesores. what ticks me off the most is that 95% of it looks the same. like a great big ball of siamese twins from a million different mother. mmm. not the greatest similie. needless to say, i can't say i'm much a fan.

Oh gawd. This drawing describes exactly how I feel every time I get on DA. I love good anime, and I love stylized cartoons; but goddamn, I also like to see some diversity. Especially since my artistic style is still very limited and it does good to expand. I see enough anime bullcrap in my notebook every day, and that's why I like getting online to see other stuff. o3oNothing wrong with anime... It's just.... A little annoying sometimes. Maybe a bit too popular, you know? (ahhheemmmmprobablytheeasieststyletolearnhackhackhack)

eh. "Anime style" is just stylized anatomy. American-Comic style uses stylized anatomy as well. There are good Anime artists, and goon American Comic artists. I don't see why we need to bash those artists who are still learning, wether they use anime or american comic style. Or maybe I'm just ranting because I'm a bad anime artist myself :\ dunno. |
