Just because it took over half-an-hour doesn't mean it has to be on the intermediate board. Try adding shading or highlights, and make your lines thinner, so details are more visible.HAPPY?

This picture kind of reminds me of the time that I was down in Panama and there was this beautiful sunset with the sun setting over the ocean and you could see it's reflection in the water. it started out as something else but i gave up and did this instead....lol and this is only my second painting, i think i'm kind of getting used to this place...

:) i really like this one too :) try and blend using laceux sketch (i like that program the most) i really helps :) *stares at latest art done by self*you can also blur and burn your work ;) try that too

Oekaki-Shi works for blending too. I think it's better for beginners. Meaning I'm still a beginner? No, I just hate Lascaux =P

lol @ Shmoopy. I like Oekaki-Shi too. Lascaux is OK, it's just that Oekaki works better for me. It all depends on the person. This is neat. I thought at first it was an orange floating on water lol like in a bowl and this is just a transparent view of it. lol

hehe yea.. thanx... i tried to make some water in bewtween the reflection and the actual sun. i like Oekaki-Shi too, it just works better for me. less buttons...lol. yea.. well that is my first sunset drawing on here... i might try to do another one later when i've had more expirence with this site.. |

I've been curious about this for some time now, and I see stuff everyday that makes me wonder more. How do moderators deem things unacceptable, or deletable, even not-decent? Is there a quality guide they follow; a link that takes them to ''How to Judge an Oekaki'' or something? I've seen art here that makes me wonder. The beginner board being a prime example. Specific people draw pictures that take 10 minutes or less, and they're just a bunch of colors and shapes ma...
