The composition is very nice. I like how you've balanced the objects here and how soft your colors are.

You might not like it so much and there's a few parts I think you could have done a little different but I still think you did pretty well. The yellows near the bottom really do seem to glow with intensity, and the sword itself is nicely made too. If you were to do it again though I'd suggest either a vertical format that's at least twice as tall as in is wide and have the sword standing straight up and down, or have the picture area be the same as this but make it even longer/wider and have the sword be at a flat horizontal. Those are just a couple ways of making it I'm imagining that I think would look nice. |

*and when I say "simplicity" I mean in a good way. Having simple elegance. I tend to forget some people don't like that term but that's what I was taught to say. >_>-edit- and yellow through the handle would be very yummy. *continues eating my taco bell burrito*

Although the yellow has a slight tilt, I think it works well because it gives continuation to the diagonals in the image.

I like that you've tried a very different format here that's so long. When I make paintings in class a lot of times I like to use long, thin formats like this. I think that this picture is a little heavy on the right side, maybe a small sailboat on the left would balance it out?not sure what else to do with the picture as of yet lol

Just to help me remember. -_- I don't really like this that much.. But I need to remember what they look like, in general. The one in the top left corner has her hair pulled back into buns.. So you can't really see them, and when I did draw them, it looked weird. |

I think you did pretty well at coloring this and using the colors to make the characters distinct from each other, emphasizing that they're not even the same species. |
