Well, I was listening to one of my favorite jams by Hellogoodbye...I don't think many people have heard of them, but they rock and the song below inspired this picture. Thank you... I'm sorry.. I just felt like I was being attacked because of how I do things.. Nothing I do is good enough. I only made this because a friend requested it. Not so I can be hassled about imperfections and little things other's don't like about it. |

The perspective on this looks a bit off, it might help if you picked one vanishing point and drew everything in the picture to that point.

Momma had a baby and her head popped offI am the only one who thinks or even knows those words while looking at this picture? I had a neighbor who used to make dandelion wine. She lived to be 100, I don't know what effect the wine had on that. This is a nice piece Axil.

Very pretty, Pseu. for an overall impressionistic effect I don't think you need to do a lot of fine detailing. Here's what I'd do: lighten those shadows behind her ears and spread them over the hair so that it looks like the brim of the hat is casting a shadow over the hair (but not too dark.) Think about where your light source is in this picture and then you'll know where the shadows should fall. You might try shaping the bridge of her nose a little--most people don't have a bone in the bridge of their nose that is quite that wide from top to bottom. Also, a small shadow underneath her lower lip will indicate the indented curve between lip and chin--think of it as the shadow that the protrusion of the lower lip casts on the top of the chin. Your skin tones are real nice.

Looks like her nose is a bit long and the top looks a bit flat. I think the black rose/bow needs some more detail, maybe some lighter areas on top? I agree that the hair looks a bit undefined as well.

Thanks for that clarification. I don't like the picture at all myself, really, and that's not the point. I try to comply with the rules here, and I haven't broken any that I know of (intentionally, ever), but I WILL disagree when I disagree.
