Found this great picture on Cindy's Yahoo photo page (is that you Cindy?) and wanted to try it.I was just looking at that water and those two waves and kept seeing straight hard lines and shoddy blending and had to fix it before it drove me mad. Glad I still had some space left, I hope this looks better now.

WOW! Im suprised I never saw this on here till now.. You did a superb job on this. Waves are so hard to pull off and look real, and you did spectacularly. I think the thing I like best about it, is the non-burning yellow light typicly on a beach picture. This has the feel of a layer of fog or overcast. * runs from the sun for feer of another 3rd degree burn day.. shuttter* And I always prefer the beach when its like this, and not blearing sun murdering your skin. ;)

I know... lost track of the entire loop! Think it went that way...?And I guess you are right about the softening of the edges. Somehow I always end up mixing up line art and more realistic drawing, and it results in... well... something like this |

thank you both! This is quite a bit different than the Shepherd draw. I tried to draw it in the same style, but I sure found it difficult to make it look realistic that way! But it was great practice! Thanks for the request, Klox. Klox: this didn't really turn out like what you've requested me to do. I'd appreciate it if you could move it to my gallery instead of the contest board. Thanks, Dj

Nightmare? Is that good or bad...? *rolls eyes*I guess it depends on weather or not you like him. I personally think he's pretty cool and has a very unique style.
