I think it's finished, Barbara. What do you think? :)
The light was bad for the lighting in this pic. I think it's better without it.

Ok, I decided to work on her and the Gargoyle's and clean things up (Roy, don't be afraid to use more than one layer to color, we can always add more space) Forgot to add those things on top of the tower were flames/beacons, and that skull type thingy above the main door.

Overall fun, next time we collab I follow you. :)

We're done.
Punky (May 28, 2007)
Wow, this is super fantastic. The lineart and coloring work well together, it looks like a comic book or video game art.
Roytje (May 29, 2007)
Yes, very nice finish Sweetcell :)

Yes, nice one :) The background gives it a good depth.
Anna (Jun 2, 2007)
love the colors here
Sweetcell (Jun 5, 2007)
Woah, if I saw this hanging in a gallery I'd stop short and look. I love the red shirt, the green background, and I'd think those curlers were decorative hair pins. Little blush on her cheeks. :)

Great piece. Looks like thick acrylics around the belly.
Roytje (May 27, 2007)
Thanks for the nice comments :)
Deino (Jun 3, 2007)
Roy, this is so stunning! Beautiful, really: The movement!
Sweetcell (Jun 5, 2007)
You look at a piece, and look at it, and comment in your head how pretty it is, but you forget to write it down and forget you forgot so when you see it again you think, 'Didn't I comment on this?'

I can feel the wind as it whooshes by, so well done Roy.

DeadlyBlondeArcher (May 23, 2007)
well, I just looked in the mirror, and that isn't gonna do it for me right now [my hair is a long, stringy, tangled mess, I'm wearing a marines t-shirt that has garden dirt on it, [there's dirt on my cheek, too] and I'm all sweaty =] boy, that was traumatizing. i hope that bird had a better experience lol

this is precious

He can survive through a war but can't even light his own cigarettes?
Sweetcell (May 23, 2007)
Just awesome as always. Looks like the younger guy is a green rookie and the older guy has established himself as the rookies gaurdian, showing him the ropes and toughening him up, that includes a manly inhaling of ciggy. :)
DoOp (May 24, 2007)
haha, that's awesome X]
IkariIreuL (May 24, 2007)
Cigs used to be part of the rations man. But yeah I think this 'army' is a little different than standard-they be killin big green men!
Awesome draw, I love the expression of the guy on the left.
After an evil cig you´ll understand the green man part ;]

I think it's Dutch, which is not German. Scandinavian. (Is "het lict", "the light"?) Scandinavians, the Dutch, Norway, Denmark, Finland, all those countries, produce some of the best art design in the world, and it's not surprising our friend here is so good. This is lovely. Yes,if you look up Scandinavian design in all areas of the art world products, interior decoration, textiles, they are some of the best artists. --and highly regarded by buyers everywhere. I've seen pictures of famous designers' work, sigh. Yes, Roytje, you're very talented. :)
davincipoppalag (Dec 1, 2019)
still love this though I've never heard of the Dutch being referred to as Scandanavian.. lol
enjoydotcom (Dec 10, 2019)
I completely missed that as well. Lol.
There’s this gag that Danish gets confused with Dutch and vice versa. And if my life depended on it, I could possibly understand Danish, our societies are not too dissimilar. Also, wow, this is originally from 12.5 years ago!!!! Holy cowbells.
davincipoppalag (Dec 10, 2019)
Amazing isnt it!!
