It's beautiful! I love the wings, and the colors are so pretty. The shading is amazing! I absolutely love the antennaes, hehe.

But after you are finished saying Aww think about about Mrs Centipede and the three baby Centipede's that will be waiting up all night for Mr centipede to make it home...... waiting and waiting........ This critter lives way up in the trees away from hungry croc's and evil plants he comes out at dusk and feeds apon the many bugs of the forest.

this was mostly done as small edits waiting for dinner to cook lol..no ref..just scribbling around...guess i found a better way of drawing long grass now :)

I think the neck is just a little too long for perfect proportions but I love it the way it is. I also love the grass. Great draw. How was dinner? :D

thanks KH44N and vigilante...yeah p3ndragon..the neck looks long cause i spent too long trying to decide if there was gonna be hair blowing across the front of it..after adding and removing it a few hundred times her neck got longer lol..think its mostly cause of hair across the shoulder tho..

Yeah, I think on the Left the eye might be a little wide, because of where her head would start to round the "corner", but I mean I didn't notice till you said something.Still a nice piece. |

This is one of many ideas I've been trying to come up with lately to make a tree-based community that includes large, tall trees, a sense of fantasy, and still gives them enough horizontal space to walk around on and doesn't put them so high up that the force of wind blowing them off the tree would be a risk. Also the higher up on a tree you are the more the tree will sway in the wind, and I don't want them to get motion sickness everytime the wind blows.

Bah. Stupid background. It's supposed to be the color of the board, but it didn't work, as you can see. I also switched painting styles halfway through. Can you tell?

I think his hand reaches upwards indeed. It almost looks like he holds a camera above him and takes a picture of himself. The perspective of the ground makes me think so. This is an awesome drawing, it has the feeling of a painting on canvas but it still is extremely realistic. And the face is so sweet! Excellent artwork. <:)|XOD|

Actually, I think the photographer did take the picture of herself, so her arm would be reaching upwards and that would account for the perspective. So sorry for not posting the reference, I had put it on originally, but since the pics got seperated during a saving glitch, I forgot about it. Here it is: Linkage!Ooh, and it's a she, I believe. The whole disproportion of her features makes her creepy in a good way. But then again, that's what you're best at. This is way better, in any case, than any of the females I draw out of my head. |
