Ah I don't know. This is boredom personified I guess. Don't really know what sparked this.

awww, so cute!! I like the shiny eyes, and I love the shading on the hair!! >__O
Parelis (Dec 12, 2003)
A cute little face, but that eye on the left keeps distracting me. I think it's a little too big and maybe out of place. The two-tone shading on the eyes gives them a nice shiny look though.

this is an awesome drawing. and i think the left eye is fine :) good drawing and keep up the good work

Beautiful colors, very serene. A little sparse in detail, but I like it anyway.
MC.Cracka (Dec 12, 2003)
everything looks blurry, like if you were focused on an object and you took that abject away, good effect

I know this pic is kinda of rough, I will try to put in more details next time, thank you everyone!^^

I agree w/ coolsoft. Maybe you could add a dolphin or two??? Anyway, its my opinion, you pick '_' :-)

My CRKT folding knife glows funky blue in the monitor light.

it has a background.
Parelis (Dec 13, 2003)
I actaully was going to draw it sitting on my tablet, but I decided to just add the shadow and move on to other things. It would look nicer with something in the BG and with that scribble gone, but I was really just interested in trying to replicate the effect of multiple light sources on metal. I'm happy with what I did in that respect, and learned a bit more about using the app.

completely KICK ASS, but the bolt on the top of the blade is transparent.

Welcome ^^
Parelis (edited Dec 11, 2003)
Thanks for the warm welcome! To respond to you all:
Lascaux is a sweet app, I was just referring to oekaki in general; I'd never tried it before and didn't realize how a few pixels made such a huge difference when you've only got a 300x300 space to work with. I've got even more respect for the people who do amazing things on these boards now.

I'm still feeling out how things work here, so I figured I'd submit this to beginner to be safe. I'm glad you think it's good enough for a higher level board.

Her neck seems kinda wide now that you mention it. That's one of the things you stop noticing when you stare at something for an hour straight I guess.
furyofroy (Dec 11, 2003)
I think her neck is the right size; the furry collar just makes it seem a little thick.

Great subject! Can't wait to see that spacesuit rendered as well as the moon surface is.

Progress in Artistic Ability
Doodlibop (Dec 1, 2003)
As I skim through all the drawing boards, I'm come to realize that some people here are just not improving in their art skill. Some just continue to draw the same thing or style over and over and will not explore or better their current style. It's kind of...sad. I must admit though; the people on the beginner board are actually improving, and I applaud them. But those who are on the intermediate especially and even the advanced, I see no kind of improvement. It's silly. Expand! Explore! and...
