I want a peak inside of your brain...
anyways, I love the colors in this :)
Opium (Mar 13, 2006)
I have to say, I'm sorry Zep. I never truly looked at this one, just sort of glanced over it unfortunetly. It might have been the creepy spider lady down below this that always threw my attention off, but now that I truly look at it, I must say I love it! Seriously, I think this is the best picture I've seen on 2draw for a very very long time. Very nicely done! And I'm sorry again :) I won't ever do that again, I promise!

... it was not into my ear you whispered, but into my heart. It was not my lips you kissed, but my soul.

This looks so realistic and beautiful. I can't really say what I like most about it, since everything is equally wonderful; I love it. ^__^

Very purty! It could use more definition and not so much of the soft tool
Becksie (Feb 27, 2006)
okies.. :) I may try an revise it later when I have time =3
Opium (Feb 27, 2006)
hehe I hear that...my drawings get worked on usually in cell biology class. Don't worry, I used to be addicted to the soft tool...I know how hard it is to wean yourself off of it lol

I'm not too worried about showcase. I'm just happy that I can sit down and say, "Hey, this isn't half bad."

Imperfect (Oct 3, 2011)
So amazing. One of the most beautiful photorealistic pieces I've ever seen.
dorothyblueeyes (Oct 7, 2011)
Very beautiful. I think I know the difference between me and many of the other painters here, now.For example, this is very smooth, finished, and slick. It' very professional. Good job. I do not tend to like going all the way to smooth, finished, and photo-like. I like the paint(figuratively) to look and feel like paint.I even like it similar to paint, messy and gooey. And there seems to be a tendency here, to like everything very smooth, slick, and finished. Guess I am out of the groove. I just like allowing for different styles, and different veiwpoints of what painting and drawing is.
Teapot (Apr 5, 2016)
Actually, Dot, this is quite impressionistic compared to the photograph, not an attempt at photo-realism at all.

What is the best monitor setting?
Opium (Feb 23, 2006)
Alright, I have my monitor callibrated to be bright, but is it better to draw with a darker monitor or brighter? I downloaded the WiziWYG XP that marcello told someone to use to callibrate their screen, and it says that standard graphic art is supposed to be dark. Which should I do?

Simply lovely to look at. Clean, elegant, sensual. The choice of monotone allows you to effortlessly concentrate on the subject without having to subconciously process too much visual information. The detail in the hair sets it all off. Full range of light to dark executed well, would like to have seen a couple more of the darker tones in places.... no, on second thougt, that might take away from it. Really very nice.
davincipoppalag (Jun 5, 2006)
That was a great edit, Rich. The coloration really warmed this up beautifully. Nice to see you drawing
Pantera (Jun 30, 2006)

Warm. I like to paint with a palette knife, then you can touch the painting later and feel your strokes.
Axil62 (Feb 23, 2006)
yeah, or you can look at a reflection of a painting in a butter knife and then later, touch yourself and feel your strokes....
DeadlyBlondeArcher (Feb 23, 2006)
that, I did not know
Sweetcell (Feb 28, 2006)
LOL..... stunner Axil. The painting I mean.
